Re: Goff over Wentz

I think you have to win a playoff game to be called the next Montana. Getting a bit ahead of yourselves guys. All this means crap if they go out in the 1st playoff game again. Of course, I'd be shocked if that happened. Montana was for decades the GOAT, and could still make a case for it now. Nobody...

Re: Where Does The 2018 Jared Goff Rank Amongst The Leagues 32 Starting Qb's?

He played an excellent game. But he damn near lost it for them too. Before Everett's 40 yd TD down the sideline, Goff threw one directly into Chief DB Scandrick's hands. Josh Reynalds made a game saving play by knocking it out. I'd put Goff in the upper echelon to be sure - sometimes he has phenomen...

Re: Rams might have won something bigger then this game...

Because of the venue shift from Mexico city, there were several thousand unsold tickets.

The Rams gave them to first responders - and to people that had lost their homes in the wildfires.

Damn right. This franchise has a soul.

Re: Rams are -1 dogs to the Saints

The Saints have Carolina twice, the Eagles, the Steelers, and the Bengals still left on their schedule. They should be favored over the Cowboys, and will likely mash the Bucs. They are likely to drop a couple of those games. The good news is a lot of the Rams competition for home field in the second...

Re: The 8-0 Myth

The Rams could go 1-2 in the next three and still be in good shape for home field advantage. The Saints are the #1 competition, and they haven't hit the hard part of their schedule yet - Rams, Bengals, Panthers twice, and Steelers. The Redskins are better than everyone thought, but they aren't a dom...

Re: If Rodgers had gotten the ball back.....

They needed a field goal. Rodgers would have gotten it. A sack doesn't stop a drive. Rodgers is the best QB out there right now. GB was healthy for the first time all season - healthier than the Rams were, to be sure. They will be spoilers and can still put together a streak to win the division. I'm...

Re: Gurley or Faulk

Faulk had better burst, better football speed, and was one of the brightest guys in the history of the league at the position. Gurley is excellent as a receiver, but Faulk was another wide out. Gurley is amazing, but he's not quite there yet. Gurley has much better power and a really interesting wig...

Re: I do miss one of Sammy Watkins skillsets.

He was excellent in the Red Zone and was a much better blocker than Cooks. While the OL is ragging people, the downfield blocking isn't as good, and so far at least Goff isn't hitting the home run rushing plays he did last season. Of course, there's still time, and if anything the OL is better, mask...

Re: so what did the Eagles players accomplish?

There are a lot of conservatives that I can have real conversations with about policy and the direction of the country. We can disagree respectfully and we can both learn something. Trump people are fucking nuts. Not until they man up and admit their man is damaging this country, and actively oppos...

They highlighted the continued bigotry emanating from the highest office of the land. Good for them. And good for Chris Long, who donated his entire salary last season to charity and continues to be one of the best examples of a player worthy of respect and honor in the NFL. Oh, and the basketball ...

Re: Rams undergoing youth movement at the linebacker position

How long has it been since we had a dominating LB crew? Forever? I mean, we've had a few good ones, and one or two that had a great player on it. But we've never had a great unit at one time. I'd hazard a guess that the best one was in the mid-70s, with Isiah Robertson, Hacksaw Reynolds, and Jim Yo...

Re: SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS ALWAYS STOP THE RUN...RAMS WERE AMONG THE WORST AT IT LAST YEAR!

The Colts in 2006 were 12-4 and won the Super Bowl. They were 32nd in run defense in the regular season. And that was before some of the more agressive changes to the passing game. I'd say there's no 'always' in football. There's 'most of the time'. You can win it all without an elite QB, and you ca...

Re: Amazing The Difference Between Last Offseason and Now

This team doesn't have the depth to go 16-0. Personally I think that's crazy talk considering we are starting 6 new players on D. Tougher schedule, a lot of ajdustment on D, teams given a year to see McVay's O. I think wins will come tougher this year, even though the team is more talented. But I th...

Re: Rams rise to No. 2 in post-NFL Draft power rankings

On talent, yeah. But they have a lot of turnover to account for. My guess is they underperform a bit at the beginning of the year then turn it on with a deep playoff run later. Hopefully all the way! Why? Almost an entirely new LB corps, one without a lot of experience, and lots of new pieces to le...

Re: McKay Murphy will make the Rams 2018 Roster

Not sure if he'll make the final 53 but the dude has some skills. Reportedly ran a 4.81 and had 41 reps. Big, strong and fast = a decent shot. Trouble is..there's a lot of talent in front of him. I can see him making it to the last cut and a spot on PS if his heart is set on playing in the NFL. The...

Re: McKay Murphy will make the Rams 2018 Roster

Not an impressive highlight reel. One coverage sack (the first), some good hustle plays, and the last half sack the other guy got there first and he unloaded to the head of a defenseless QB. That's a personal foul at the NFL level. The pressure in the QB on the end zone which led to the dump off was...

Re: Rams have third-best Super Bowl odds following NFL Draft

And with their schedule, which is one of the most difficult in the league even with their division weak, they will be battle tested come playoff time. Perhaps I'm in the minority but I don't see the schedule as being "tough". Just my opinion. I see it as an NFL schedule and that's tough but 32 team...

Re: Ogbonnia Okoronkwo could be the biggest steal of the 2018 NFL Draft

What people tend to forget about the Rams is the amazing DBs/Safeties we have. They will have a massive impact in helping our guys rush the passer. Greg Williams said the reason Ward was more valuable than Chubb was because by having a shut down corner it forces the QB to hold on to the ball longer...

He's slow I wouldn't say he's slow, but he won't be going 50 yards for a TD. Our current #2 (Brown) is slow. I think Kelly compares well with Lance Dunbar, who is no longer on the Rams roster. About the same size and skills. Okay... Im going to make one comparison... Emmitt Smith.... Smith clocked ...

Re: Rams have third-best Super Bowl odds following NFL Draft

The Eagles get back a Pro Bowl QB, have the SB MVP as a backup, and get back an All-Pro LT. Their dline is ridiculous - Michael Bennet, Haloti Ngata, and Chris Long are their backups! If anything, they are stronger than the team that won the SB last year. Nice to see the Rams in the mix, and its go...

Oh, and comparing Kamara and Kelly in 2016 is OK, where they had similar stats, though Kamara beat him in yards from scrimmage. In 2017 Kelly was the primary back for the Vols, with pedestrian numbers - 189 attempts, 778 yards, 4.1 average, 9 TDs. 37 catches, 299 yards, 0 TDs inthe passing game. You...

Re: John Kelly looks DOPE - Kamara-esque

This guy doesn't have nearly the burst or speed Kamara has displayed. He's undersized and seems a bit below average in speed. He's got good power and vision, but doesn't always show the ability to get to what he sees. He uses his elusiveness combined with power well. 6th round is about right for hi...
