Re: so what did the Eagles players accomplish?

There are a lot of conservatives that I can have real conversations with about policy and the direction of the country. We can disagree respectfully and we can both learn something. Trump people are fucking nuts. Not until they man up and admit their man is damaging this country, and actively oppos...

Re: so what did the Eagles players accomplish?

They highlighted the continued bigotry emanating from the highest office of the land. Good for them. And good for Chris Long, who donated his entire salary last season to charity and continues to be one of the best examples of a player worthy of respect and honor in the NFL. Oh, and the basketball ...

Re: Rams undergoing youth movement at the linebacker position

How long has it been since we had a dominating LB crew? Forever? I mean, we've had a few good ones, and one or two that had a great player on it. But we've never had a great unit at one time. I'd hazard a guess that the best one was in the mid-70s, with Isiah Robertson, Hacksaw Reynolds, and Jim Yo...

Re: SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS ALWAYS STOP THE RUN...RAMS WERE AMONG THE WORST AT IT LAST YEAR!

The Colts in 2006 were 12-4 and won the Super Bowl. They were 32nd in run defense in the regular season. And that was before some of the more agressive changes to the passing game. I'd say there's no 'always' in football. There's 'most of the time'. You can win it all without an elite QB, and you ca...

Re: Amazing The Difference Between Last Offseason and Now

This team doesn't have the depth to go 16-0. Personally I think that's crazy talk considering we are starting 6 new players on D. Tougher schedule, a lot of ajdustment on D, teams given a year to see McVay's O. I think wins will come tougher this year, even though the team is more talented. But I th...

Re: Rams rise to No. 2 in post-NFL Draft power rankings

On talent, yeah. But they have a lot of turnover to account for. My guess is they underperform a bit at the beginning of the year then turn it on with a deep playoff run later. Hopefully all the way! Why? Almost an entirely new LB corps, one without a lot of experience, and lots of new pieces to le...

Re: McKay Murphy will make the Rams 2018 Roster

Not sure if he'll make the final 53 but the dude has some skills. Reportedly ran a 4.81 and had 41 reps. Big, strong and fast = a decent shot. Trouble is..there's a lot of talent in front of him. I can see him making it to the last cut and a spot on PS if his heart is set on playing in the NFL. The...

Re: McKay Murphy will make the Rams 2018 Roster

Not an impressive highlight reel. One coverage sack (the first), some good hustle plays, and the last half sack the other guy got there first and he unloaded to the head of a defenseless QB. That's a personal foul at the NFL level. The pressure in the QB on the end zone which led to the dump off was...

Re: Rams have third-best Super Bowl odds following NFL Draft

And with their schedule, which is one of the most difficult in the league even with their division weak, they will be battle tested come playoff time. Perhaps I'm in the minority but I don't see the schedule as being "tough". Just my opinion. I see it as an NFL schedule and that's tough but 32 team...

Re: Ogbonnia Okoronkwo could be the biggest steal of the 2018 NFL Draft

What people tend to forget about the Rams is the amazing DBs/Safeties we have. They will have a massive impact in helping our guys rush the passer. Greg Williams said the reason Ward was more valuable than Chubb was because by having a shut down corner it forces the QB to hold on to the ball longer...

Re: John Kelly looks DOPE - Kamara-esque

He's slow I wouldn't say he's slow, but he won't be going 50 yards for a TD. Our current #2 (Brown) is slow. I think Kelly compares well with Lance Dunbar, who is no longer on the Rams roster. About the same size and skills. Okay... Im going to make one comparison... Emmitt Smith.... Smith clocked ...

Re: Rams have third-best Super Bowl odds following NFL Draft

The Eagles get back a Pro Bowl QB, have the SB MVP as a backup, and get back an All-Pro LT. Their dline is ridiculous - Michael Bennet, Haloti Ngata, and Chris Long are their backups! If anything, they are stronger than the team that won the SB last year. Nice to see the Rams in the mix, and its go...

Re: John Kelly looks DOPE - Kamara-esque

Oh, and comparing Kamara and Kelly in 2016 is OK, where they had similar stats, though Kamara beat him in yards from scrimmage. In 2017 Kelly was the primary back for the Vols, with pedestrian numbers - 189 attempts, 778 yards, 4.1 average, 9 TDs. 37 catches, 299 yards, 0 TDs inthe passing game. You...

Re: John Kelly looks DOPE - Kamara-esque

This guy doesn't have nearly the burst or speed Kamara has displayed. He's undersized and seems a bit below average in speed. He's got good power and vision, but doesn't always show the ability to get to what he sees. He uses his elusiveness combined with power well. 6th round is about right for hi...

Re: Rams have third-best Super Bowl odds following NFL Draft

I think its the Eagles and everybody else. Yes, the Rams are in the next tier - along with the Vikings, Saints, Patriots, Steeler, Jags. Maybe Atlanta. As much as I love the additions the LBs are going to be attacked early and often. I'd feel better about it if they were more competitive in their di...

Re: Which picks contribute year 1?

I suggested before the draft that the Rams draft this year would be a big success if it could come up with two + starters as rookies. Best chances for that are Kiser and OO, imo. Kiser's 40 was just outside top 40 and he has elite short area times. He's an experienced, smart and productive senior. ...

Marcus Peters, 2018 4th round, 2019 2nd round - plus a 6th round this year back Aqib Talib, 2018 5th round Brandin Cooks, 2018 1st and 6th round, plus a 2018 4th round back Adding to that some OL depth and LB help. Looks like the 2019 RAMS are better (so far on paper) than the 2018 RAMS. Agreed, it...

I would not be surprised if UDFA Tegray Scales made the final cut. He is a little undersized, but he can play. I could see him on ST or as a backup. http://www.draftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=131214&draftyear=2018&genpos=ilb I have not been impressed by anything I've seen of him to this p...

Re: Rams draft grade roundup: What the "experts" are saying about L.A.'s class

Frank Scwab at Shutdown Corner gave the Rams an A-. Only one team got an A, two others an A-, so he gave them a top 4 draft class. Snead was smart in playing the field, moving up and down in the later rounds as necessary to grab several great value picks. Considering what he had to work with, this m...
