NFL vs. World Cup Soccer: Polar Opposites

I have been watching some matches even though team USA and Italia failed to qualify for the tournament. Although soccer players have tremendous stamina, akin to NBA players, they couldn't be more different than NFL players in the way they treat injuries. First, soccer players play up any tiny boo-bo...

Re: What 1 Mistake is McVay Making? (survey)

Conclusion: the Best answer was the OP's. Keep Gurley fresh by mixing in other RBs.

What 1 Mistake is McVay Making? (survey)

McVay is my favorite HC of all time. Let's get this understood first and foremost. Yet no one is perfect as Sean himself would tell us. Sean mentioned a few things he can get better at during OTAs. He mentioned that he sometimes abandons the run game too early when defenses shut down Gurley. What 1 ...

Re: Will Goff grow into McVay

Goff is improving in every way and he has unshakable self-confidence. His teammates like and respect him, too.

I think he's going to become one of the better deep ball stars of the NFL.

He rolled to his LEFT in OTAS to hit Cooks 50 yards downfield.

Perfect personality for the QB position.

Re: Donald to Be Tagged Again and Again

Hope you guys are right! I want him in camp! It took him several games last season to get back into game playing shape after missing the entire off-season work. Now he has new players to get in synch with. Better for all if we get him contracted asap.

Re: Rams QB Crushing Machine get the tent ready we got another one....

Gotta get by the Eagles who will likely have the #1 seed in the West. We're a top 4 team one injury away from ruin. Cautiously optimistic is my approach. Winning an SB requires some luck---we need to be good and lucky to avoid devastating injuries.

Management has all the power in this saga. I expect Donald to be tagged this year and next.

Hope he handles it well.

Re: Trio of Tight Ends Ready to Fly!

McVay said on most plays the TE is Goff's 3rd or 4th read. With 3 excellent WRs and Gurley in the mix, Goff usually can find someone (other than the TE) early to target. Everett had many catches downfield in 2017. I hope Goff builds better relationships with the TE crew. https://www.youtube.com/watc...

Trio of Tight Ends Ready to Fly!

McVay said yesterday that he's very happy with the depth and quality he enjoys at the Tight End Position. He intends to use Higbee, Everett, and Hemmingway regularly to attack specific matchups and play calls. He likes Higbee's ability to block and receive. He believes Everett will be effective on m...

Jared Goff---Locked and Loaded!

Goff has an affable, low-key way about him that obscures in some way the young QB's zeal and drive. He seems if you look close, hell-bent on building a triumphant career that docks him in Canton. Unlike Brady who breathes fire daily, Goff is cool, like an onshore sea breeze, relaxed and steady. Goff...

Not worried about our LB corps. We have Longacre, Hager, and Samson who each played well last season. We have Barron and the KC import. I think Littleton and Ebukam, step up big time.

Eager to see what Kiser can do.

Not going to run inside against the FAB 3...so sweeps, 3 step drops and quick passes to TE might work against us.

How Will Teams Attack Our Edge Rushers?

Many analysts believe the Rams defense can be beaten by taking advantage of out [poot edge rushers. They claim that Wade's defense will be good but not great because of a lack of talent on the edges. What play calls can we expect to see from opponents looking to take advantage our edge guys like Ebu...

Re: (Survey) How Will Cooks Help McVay's Attack?

In the playoff loss, the Falcons defense was intent on shutting down the underneath stuff and seemed to cheat up while not respecting the deep ball. With Cooks in the mix, defenses won't be able to do that.
