Re: DJ's First Mock Has OJ Howard to Steelers Towards End of Round 1

If he is that good and The Steelers have a shot at him I don't see a deal happening. Unless they could fleece us. Which is possible since they have been the overall best organization in football since 1969. Usually have to get ahead of team targeting him, in this scenario trade would be with a team...

Re: McVay - BadAss

Nobody is saying anything bad about McVay. It's the Rams organization they don't trust. It's the track record. So some are tempering their enthusiasm. I like this hire. McVay's connections in the football family run deep. The futility of the Rams was brought on by infighting, instability of ownershi...

Re: McVay: "BadAss??"..."Real Deal"??. Don't kid yourself...

I love our Rams, but based on what I've seen so far, until it happens, I'll remain skeptical that we're on the road to respectability. I said the same thing about Fisher EVERY year. Doubting just becomes second nature as a seasoned Rams fan. The difference with McVay is, I genuinely like this guy a...

Tough, no nonsense, etc. etc.

Posted January 28, 2015 Derek Carr spent his rookie season working under Greg Olson, the Oakland offensive coordinator last season. “Coach Olson taught me so much about protections,” Carr said. “Day One, as soon as Blake gets with coach Olson, all they’re going to talk about is protection,” Carr sa...

Interesting article The Giants need to go all-in on signing UFA LT Andrew Whitworth The one free agent who could put the New York Giants over the hump in 2017 is likely not who you expected. by Dan Schneier .................You're probably now asking why in the world the Bengals would allow Whitwort...

Rams have virtually no unused cap dollars for flexibility

The Los Angeles Rams do not have a lot of unused cap money that can be added to their salary cap for next season when free agency begins. The Rams rank near the bottom of the league in total expenditure available. According to OverTheCap.com, the Rams had $40,353,153 to spend in the offseason befor...

Do you think that McVay is capable of making our current players better?
That's job one in my mind. I see a lot of young players with no direction.

Re: Will McVay and Phillips be able to attract quality Free Agents?

It's hard for teams like the Rams and the Browns to attract free agents.
The long term losing is a real hindrance.
They have that stigma of "Where careers go to die" for both players and coaches.

Not refusing DIck, have other commitments. While it is possible my memory lapsed on this one, I do remember all of Spags staff was let go with the exception of McDaniels. McDaniels was not let out of his contract until they decided on Fisher. This fact may of led me to remember it as McD has an add...

Re: Albright on McVay's system & Goff

Nice listen.
Both guys had Goff as a day 2 pick.
I cannot argue with anything they said.
It is the top major area of concern.

The part about tight ends was interesting.
The way McVay developed Reed bodes well for Higbee and Hemmingway.

Re: Nathan Peterman qb

I'm sure the RAMs will built their draft board, by best available player. So will see what happens. Listening to McVay, he sounds like a "best football player available" guy. Which I prefer The three QBs I mentioned will probably be UDFAs. I agree with you that there are too many holes in...

maybe some lazyness but probably not on purpose. It has to be the culture, the mindset .We already knew that Cook had talent. Success breeds success. Cultural change has to be more than just the coaches and players.
DV always talked about the entire organization getting more and more intense as Sunday approached.
Does McVay have the power and ability to do that?

Re: McVay Has a Tall Order Ahead

I think it's a legit question as to whether control over personnel was a problem for other candidates. It's been a power struggle within the Rams organization for a long time. How much control does McVay have? He's young and if he does fail here he is likely to get another chance. Not so with some o...
