Re: Odds are very much against A Donald being worth big money

It's Donald's agents that concern me. I don't know if they are reasonable people. So far it's Donald I think that has lost out. I think the Rams wanted to pay him last year. But if his agent is foolish and self-serving, and I have some reason to think he is, then I don't want the Rams to sign him at...

Re: Joseph Noteboom

He's played both left and right OT. The Rams value OL that can play more than one spot, especially in their back-up players. This guy is quite an athlete, but he's also a long term project. We may not know what he is for a couple of seasons.

Re: Love Donald but he is simply not worth the money

Donald may be the best ever at his position. Love his play. But it's still a team sport. I question his representation, especially in light of what the Rams have said about wanting to pay him even while retaining the ability to tag him two more years. That's three full seasons! The 3rd year out opti...

Chargers take patient approach? LOL. Last year the Chargers averaged 25,300 per game. The next lowest attendance was Cincinnati at 53,300. Seems to me that Chargers ownership has made some very poor assessments. They got to be hoping Stan's stadium saves them ...from themselves.

Re: What Cooks trade means to me

There was a lot of doubt about Woods' contract last year. Boy, were we fans wrong. Woods is terrific. Watkins was worth the risk, and he was a positive for the team even if he wasn't as prominent as we all hoped for. He wasn't going to be worth the money KC gave him to stay with the Rams, so I get i...

Re: Rams Move to #3 in NFL Unit Grades

I've never seen this kind of thing before, but I think I have it figured out. The QB unit score is low because of Goff's back-ups. But Goff by himself would be much, much higher. The TE position may be skewed too. As a unit, based on past play, they looked like the near rookies they were. I'm expect...

Re: McVay Looks and Sounds Exhausted

Gosh, I really, really dislike validating anything Safety Blitz has to say, but... he's made a valid observation here IMO. I thought McVay looked different nearing playoff time. My guess is maybe a little self imposed overwork on his part. Could be being a first year coach and his desire for self--p...

Ebukam, Longacre, Wilson and Littleton are going to look like stars in this defense. Plus it's possible the draft adds a starting LB.

Re: FEELING GREAT ABOUT SNEAD/MCVAY COMBO.

Absolutely agree. Only deal I thought was somewhat high was Sully's 2 year deal all for him being paid but what I thought was high. I read an article by an expert who suggested the Rams could keep Sullivan for $3m. Last year he made $1m. Other teams were bidding for Sullivan so I knew that was wron...

I've not been impressed with Mannion. But I trust that the coaches know what to do, whether that is to keep him, or not.

There were plenty here convinced Goff was a bust. What do we know?

Re: Alternative POV - Why 2 #1s are not bad for OBJ

IDK, (2) #1's and pay him $20M per? I'll pass. I'd feel a little better if he was a bit more ..."stable"... a person. I don't know too how the Rams would be able to field a team after one year at the contract prices these guys want. The cap doesn't allow it. A one year blast doesn't thrill me either...

Re: Rams Stadium now at $5 Billion!

Apparently the bill is going to get paid. Unless they added something new along with unforeseen circumstances, it is interesting to me that cost projections could be $ BILLIONS off. Really, billions? Who did the original projections, because if they have leeway to be 4x wrong in billions then they s...

Yes, Blitz. He is a bad talent evaluator, a bad coach, Goff stinks, Woods is overpaid, Kupp won't make it in the NFL, the OL can't block, and you've got more bonehead posts than everyone else put together.

Re: How will Rams Replace Ogletree and Quinn?

I would have thought the Rams would have had a FA signing at LB by now, but they certainly don't seem panicked. Maybe they feel they can get away with getting what they need there later now that they have such a strong front and such strong DB's?

Re: Unfucking Believable !!!

Hey, I like the move for a number of reasons. Some here can't get their heads around the fact that the Rams were going to pay him $5m no matter what. That means paying him to be on the team, or paying him if he were playing against us. The fact that Austin accepted this deal says something about him...

Re: No linebackers

I have to think the Rams have a plan for all the moves and how they're going to fill the voids. My first thought when I heard this trade is that the Rams want to resign Tru Johnson. At LB the known guys the Rams seemingly have stepping forward would be Littleton, Ebukam, Longacre, and I guess Hager....

Re: Bill Barnwell Grades Peters Trade: Rams B+, Chiefs C

I get the Bill Barnwell grades. They make sense from the standpoint that KC was looking to unload someone they must have felt was detrimental to team chemistry. A 'C' for that, ok. From the Rams standpoint getting a 'malcontent' with top talent, at a position of need, at a value level salary, for a ...

Goff has shown nothing.
Nobody tries to shut him down.
He has yet to take over a game.
Now that defenses will switch up inside 15 seconds he's done.
Next season will be a disaster if he is QB
He's an airhead.
Don't buy the hype

Re: Marcus Peters Deal - 2018 4th and 2019 2nd

The cost is relatively low to the Rams, much lower than most of us would ever have thought possible. In this one trade the Rams solved issues of both a position in need, and a salary that was handicapping the team. The potential rewards are huge for the Rams. And if it doesn't work out, and Peters i...

Snead has made a few decent finds in the late rounds and UFA. Maybe he can find an OL or two. Maybe a back-up RB? Anyway, I wouldn't dismiss the 6th round picks as worthless.

That's funny. Sounds like a Post Dispatch news article. It was reported yesterday that the Chief's wanted Quinn and the Rams said no. It's also been reported that it is all draft picks and no first round picks are involved. Whatever Chief fans.

Rams FA contracts. What to do?

So here are the Rams FA with rounded salary numbers from last year: Tru Johnson - $16.75M (What must his agent want for a long term contract?) Sammy Watkins - $5M (He's going to want to be the highest paid Rams receiver) Connor Barwin - $3.5M (He's in the Tavon savings range) Dom Easley - $1.8M (Hur...

Re: Is it finally time for the Rams to walk away from Trumaine Johnson?

I like Tru Johnson but the Rams face tough choices to sign back players at a number of positions. I don't think Tru returns. The Rams are being pressed to sign Arron Donald. Understandably, but at what cost to the team? I thought last year the Rams offered to make him the leagues highest paid defens...
