Re: Telling Stat

Rams have had max success this year on offense when they mix the pass and run to the point that what's coming next is well disguised and unpredictable. When the Rams O becomes predictable, it becomes average. Gurley might break one eventually, but the Rams may be punting too often before that happen...

Re: Time to Experiment on Offense

I agree some experimenting could be a good idea...of course not at the expense of our much needed wins to finish out the season (let's not go crazy). And again, I'm not sure what we run against AZ or SF for instance will create as keys going into the playoffs... There's always weekly game planning, ...

Re: IT is not just ONE GAME .

I think we’d all acknowledge this Rams team wasn’t going 15-1, right? I expressed concerns before this game for multiple reasons but didn’t expect the offense to suck balls. 14-2, 13-3 would be great. They won’t play in weather on the road and I’m not scared of a Saints rematch in the Dome. I agree...

Re: Reactions to the Chicago game

Like most of you, I was very disappointed in the outcome of the game last night. I am not overly concerned about this team. Chicago has a exceptional defense and they were playing at home, on the national stage and it is a very tough place to play. What concerns me more than he loss is the reaction...

Re: Run Defense

The Rams D played good enough to win. It's not just about looking at weaknesses, look at the overall picture. Put Trubisky in positions to make mistakes. His three picks were big putting the Rams O in positions to easily win that game - had our offense not been slapped around as if helpless. The O w...

Re: Seriously wtf is wrong with Goff tonight

Two of the picks were of the hail Mary variety (before half and clear desperation game ender). The others were somewhat aided as he was hit as he threw (hit in the face, foot stepped on). I'm not saying this wasn't on Goff as well. He wasn't seeing the field well once again, as he was looking down r...

Re: Seriously wtf is wrong with Goff tonight

Bill Barnwell at ESPN posted this morning in an article about each prospective playoff team, their worst possible matchups and how to exploit their weakness (i.e.’kryptonite’) 2. Los Angeles Rams (100 percent) Kryptonite: Pressure on Jared Goff ” Remember the incredible game Goff had against the Vi...

That's the worst this O-line has ever looked under McVay = completely destroyed by the Bears D. Goff looking bad is merely a coincidence?

Re: First time but McVay was an IDIOT

McVay definitely deserves some of the loss in the play calling wasn't imaginative enough, but the dumb penalties and poor throws by Goff we're another factor. It starts upfront, and our O-line was being completely dominated. Our D gave us every chance to win with field position and low score, but.....

McVay is watching every down and seeing the defensive structure, then calling the offense to best attack it. If McVay sees that single high look he's going to attack it down the field because that's where he has the advantage.
Agree. In fact I think I agree with every reply here...

RBS have differing skill sets. Kelly can squirm to the side when initially hit if the hole is plugged. Gurley needs daylight. Brown will bulldoze the defender.
I think they all show good patience and vision to go with their particular skill-sets too.

Re: Goff's Ball Protection is Key

I agree with most of that... Tho Goff hasn't been too un-average with fumbles, 7 with 3 lost I believe = in the area of most of the NFL's great QB's. But I think you also have to factor that in with what he gets done overall. Has he been successful as an NFL QB in McVay's offense? Yeah, keeping eyes...

Re: Loss Of Malcolm Brown For Season Is Huge

Anyone know if their is a chance he can return for the playoffs? Nope,,, no chance with a broken collarbone,,,, anywhere between 3 to 6 months of healing time after surgery... He'll go into the IR and will get another player either a FA or from the PS..... and they will be inactive during game day....

That's great payback for the guy that was more concerned in burning clock than breaking personal records. That's what a leader looks like folks. Gurley, Woods, Goff, Donald...this team is stacked with true leaders.

Re: Loss Of Malcolm Brown For Season Is Huge

Ouch...

Might have to move Higbee around as more of a H-back, and share in some pass protection duties nearer the backfield (postioned to block and/or spill out as receiver)…Gurley will need some breathers obviously.

Re: After Viewing the Tape On Goff Against the Lions

Probably his worst game under McVay (?). He's been under pass rush pressure before, all things considered. Wasn't throwing or seeing the field very well. It happens. I've seen the legends of the game look way worse many a time!

Talib played only about a third of the snaps. If he can get back to 100% and can play more snaps, that will help.

Fowler is helping the defense have a new chemistry.

They have potential to generate more turnovers now that we have Fowler and Talib.
Agree completely.

Re: Big Play Potential: Kelly and Davis

Kelly and Davis are exciting young players... Of course you could trust Brown with all the positives and none of the negatives. He could block, get tough yards w/ break away potential, punish a defense a bit physically, even catch well and wouldn't fumble. I always felt good with Malcolm in the game...

It's fine to question Gurley's decision obviously (or any other event from a game), beyond the forum troll or two being negative as an ongoing priority of course. I mean Gurley scoring on first chance (100% certainty) and forcing the Lions to score (2) TD's (with a single timeout) in around two minu...

Right or wrong, Gurley put the team ahead of his own accomplishments. Tells ya A LOT about this team first player. Yeah, maybe he should have just run it in (take the points and not risk a turnover etc.)...shows what confidence he has on not fumbling there of course. If Detroit doesn't have the ball...

I really liked him too. Completely destroyed the Ducks in last year's LV Bowl. But he was gone before we would have drafted anyway...and I LOVE that we ended up with Cooks instead of drafting in the 1st round.
