Re: NFL still set on Chiefs-Rams game in Mexico City despite field concerns

With both these teams having their sights set on the NFL's second season that begins immediately following week 17, I doubt either team wants to risk injury caused by a poor quality playing surface.

Hope the NFL makes a good decision here

I avoid political discussions at all costs, even more so today given the current state of affairs, however I do wish the Kupp injury was Fake News. Re: Changed expectations.

The issues with the run defense cannot be laid solely on the play of the linebackers. Remember Rams are playing two 3 techs inside up front. And both can get in the backfield in a hurry which can be counter productive in run defense and when defending against screens. Obviously it has been very suc...

Random Thoughts After Week 10

1.) Although the scoreboard had both teams in the 30's, the game yesterday had the feel of the contests past between these two squads, back when the division was known for their defensive play throughout the league. From a pure fan perspective a very entertaining game. Maybe most enjoyable game of s...

Re: Donald trying to fight Britt after the game

Well appears Fowler has not only joined this defense but also taking a leadership role. Normally I would be the first not to condone and post negatively on Fowlers drive sustaining after whistle penalties that extended two scoring drives for the Seahawks and risking injury after the game to settle a...

Re: Wildflecken's Keys To Victory Week 10

Awesome, fire in the belly of the defense win today. Wilson was harassed all day so Key number one was certainly achieved. Initially my post was going to include a very negative comment about the Dante Fowler penalties, boneheaded in nature and not the type of play tolerated in the McVay era. Howeve...

Re: Wade MOSTLY blaming himself , not the players .

Which leads to the question that everybody is asking . Why not blitz more ? It is pretty obvious that if you don't have a pass rush ( and a lot of times we don't ) why not blitz more ? If we can't allow Qbs a lot of time to pick us a part we NEED to blitz more often , I would say MUCH more often . ...

Wildflecken's Keys To Victory Week 10

Interesting week for our warriors in horns. Not only did they have to deal with the overreaction created by the information age to their first loss of the season, but two horrific events in their hometown further compounded their preparation for this upcoming week. The word professional in their tit...

Re: Wade MOSTLY blaming himself , not the players .

It all makes sense I agree BUT let's not forget that things were working with Talib back in there also because they faced the Raiders and Cardinals. It is not hard to look good against those qbs. In Wade's One Gap, 3 -4 the pass rush and the defensive backfield are designed to assist one another. W...

Re: Wade MOSTLY blaming himself , not the players .

Playing corner ( and safety ) is not just about being athletic , fast , etc . It requires instincts and intelligence . You need to read and anticipate .I would suggest peters has none of that BUT all the interceptions in his first 3 years in the NFL tells me otherwise , so it is really hard to unde...

Re: Wade MOSTLY blaming himself , not the players .

These two teams will meet again this season. Much like the philosophy the Rams took in preseason, Wade was wise to not let NO get a look at his blitz packages and exotics in disguising 4th pass rusher and instead getting a look at how his talent looked straight up against a very, very quality offens...

Timing could indicate Rams have zero interest in Bruce Irvin and believe Obo is better option or inside info indicates they have no shot at adding him?

Re: It’s early but looking at next years draft.....

The Rams cap situation is going to preclude too much change, imo. Letting Suh move on and drafting a nose-type opens up cash and will net you a future 3rd rounder. You could release Talib with no hit.. but if you sign an FA, you lose out on some compensation. I’m just saying I want the Rams to keep...

Yesterdays game,,, showed me we have an elite offense.... Goff will be an elite QB... or should I say he is already there... After being down by 21pts... to take this team and bring them back to tied the game at 35 was remarkable.... I felt that we have a chance to win this game... at that point......

Responding to a tough loss will show me what this team is made of. Gut check time. Yes it is gut check time. Re: It’s early but looking at next years draft.....

IF the draft were today: Round One - Press Corner Round Three - Safety Round Three - CB (assuming Rams get two 3rd round comps) Round Four - Quarterback (maybe in three, second cb in 4. Deep class may find exteme bargain who can be churned for higher pick in two to thee years and upgrades backup sit...

I did not notice anything live, but thanks for posting it. In fact I totally missed defender stepping on the ankle. Going to watch the tape and I will add this to my agenda of items I want to see. Concern would be moving forward, yesterday is now water under the bridge. Isn't it fun discussing the R...

Refreshing to see him take ownership of his mistakes. Maybe he is getting it... Let’s see how he does the next few weeks. https://www.therams.com/news/peters-takes-accountability-for-on-field-mistakes Upland tried to give this post a 5 rating but said I gave a 1.5. Can you post directions for that?

Upland so pleased you are the one who posted this. I understand the 24 hour rule after an emotional loss. Did not obey the rule myself yesterday. Random Thoughts After Week 9 Loss

1.) Rams are 8 and 1 folks. Ask any fan during training camp if they would like their team to have that record after 9 weeks and you will get an emphatic YES response. Maybe starting to understand the number of Packer fans at last home game (which BTW should never happen again) from the responses on...

Re: Wildflecken's Immediate Post Game Analysis Week 9

I get your sentiment to defend Wade. They did play better in the 2nd half today. However, after today's performance. I'm not certain Wade is at his best anymore. In a sense it's been two years in a row the D has not lived up to expectations.Still think this D should be a top 5 unit. Hopefully Talib...

Re: Maybe the board experts

Tough loss I get it. Couple things to consider. Blown call and interception assisted with the 35 in first half. However cannot defend even a 28 point half. Wades scheme however would of held Saints to 3 points in second half if Marcus Peters is awake when ball is snapped. Peters also largely respons...

Wildflecken's Immediate Post Game Analysis Week 9

1.) Most meaningful Rams Victory in a very, very long time. Kudo's to WADE PHILLIPS, Sean McVay, Bones, and the entire Rams roster for pulling out this most amazing victory. 2.) I realize the frustration of many regarding the number of points allowed in first half, but if zebras get the Hekker call ...
