Re: Patriots vs Rams; Wildflecken's SB 53 Early Analysis

Yep, TE's have played huge for us this year going back to at least the KC game. Everett and Higbee have been really big…even Mundt was in at the very end (blocking) vs. Dallas as I recall. Remember early when it was said that McVay needs to involve his TE's? Just like at times needs to run more? He...

Patriots vs Rams; Wildflecken's SB 53 Early Analysis

1.) Wade and Rams must continue to play run defense at an elite level. It will be imperative in this contest. If Michel and White were not enough of a headache, consider the size, speed and power brought by Burkhead, Develin and Patterson. Maybe the largest key and deciding factor in this contest. 2...

Re: Wildflecken's Rebuttal: Rams Were NOT Handed A Victory By Refs

Its time to move on to the Patriots and not make the same mistake Sean Payton did yesterday by continuing to focus on the non call well after it occurred. The message he sent his team by doing so in a game headed into overtime was this; although the game has not yet ended, we already lost on that pl...

Re: Blown calls

Lots of blown calls. Hell, you could probably find one on every play. The thing that hurts for Saints fans tho (no that I give a shit), is WHEN this one happened. It was blatant most think (not quite so much for me), and had it been called, the aints would have been 99plus% going to the Super Bowl ...

Re: Payton vs McVay

We all know that Sean Payton is a great coach; but he is not a very good human being. If the shoe was on the other foot, what would McVay do? I guarantee he would not be crying like a little baby. He would have mentioned that penalty calls tend to even out. He would have taken responsibility for hi...

Re: Initial Reaction To The Patriots As The Opponent

Three great responses. It is not Patterson the receiver, its Patterson the runner both from backfield and on jets. Sony and White are a handful in their own right, size/speed of Burkhead, size/power of Develin creates matchup issues for the best of defenses. Patriots built a backfield they feel is v...

Initial Reaction To The Patriots As The Opponent

Tonight is for savoring the Victory, so not even going to attempt an early analysis although I will admit my sheer love for this sport and the excitement created by the Rams being a participant in this years contest has me desiring to delve right in. Going to be a long two weeks waiting for this one...

Re: Higbee and Everett!

Man I like watching the yards after the catch with these guys. They really want it. Big K thanks for bringing the TE's into the post game discussion, a topic I had intended to include in my post game remarks. McVay going to the two TE sets got this offense going today and outside of Goff both Higbe...

Wildflecken's Rebuttal: Rams Were NOT Handed A Victory By Refs

1.) Sean Payton of all people has the balls to suggest his team was robbed of a victory by referees? Did anyone complaining about that one play watch the entire contest or only that play? There is already a thread on this forum regarding the three facemasks, one I know of would of given Rams a first...

Re: Wildflecken's Post Victory Analysis: Rams Are Headed To Atlanta

We showed a lot of fortitude and a strength of will mixed in with a lot of pride. A lot of people on here talked down on Wade the man has a lot left in him and our defense has come out to play in the playoffs. Gotta give a tip of the hat to Goff the kid just doesn't quit. Screw all of Debbie downer...

Wildflecken's Post Victory Analysis: Rams Are Headed To Atlanta

1.) Rams had to dig deep for this one, Saints had a significant home field advantage. Not a huge fan of their coach, but their fans are some of the best in the league. Crowd noise was unbelievable and gave our offense fits. Maybe our ugliest win of the season but certainly the most enjoyable. 2.) Wo...

I am so proud of this team. We stepped up big time when it counted the most. Not sure what is wrong with Gurley, but I hope he is ready for the Super Bowl. Not only are we going to the Super Bowl, but this game today did a lot for the future of this team as well. What a confidence builder going int...

Rams struggled early but it's a 3 point game.
Take the first possession and take it down the field. I have a feeling Gurley is about to go off. Get him the ball

Great Post and I will toast to that. GO RAMS!!!!!

First Half Analysis

1.) First series of game, Peters stops on third and long much different game as Rams produce three and out 2.) Finally went hurry up to counter crowd noise in second quarter. Wish we would of came out of gate with it 3.) Saints getting away with late hits, helmut to helmut. Sean Payton coaches that ...

Good post as always Wild, we run the damn ball down their throats. Use the PA to keep them honest. Wipe that damn smile off POS Payton's smug face. Scoreboard Rams! I love it Henry!! Was wondering where you were today. Thought maybe you headed to the Big Easy. You know power football is my passion....

Re: Injury Update RAMs VS Aints

Must not have rewatched the whole thing. Saints are: -Rankins +Ted Ginn +Marcus Davenport Currently uncertain on Watson. He was limited today with an illness and is listed as questionable. That was also Eli Apple's first game as a Saint. This will most likely be a very close game at least through 3...

Rams @ Saints: Wildflecken's Final Analysis

1.) I have not seen if Kurt has swung his pick back to the Rams for today , but I understand the reasoning of him changing his NFC pick back to Saints when they regained home field throughout the playoffs. Home field provides a significant advantage when the field is narrowed to the best the league ...

How soon will NO stack the box?
Will they stack it throughout the game?
Will McVay abandon the run when they stack?
How will he attack it?

Your thoughts, please.
Safety,

Long winded and boring here. Define stacked box, 7, 8, 9, Cover 0?

3) I'm not so sure about pressing Thomas. I don't know much about the guy. Only that he's dam good. Not overly impressed with Saints offensive weapons outside of Thomas, Kamara and Ingram. I would jam Thomas every time he is at line, making him work extremely hard throughout game just to get a rele...

Re: Wildflecken's Keys To Victory For The NFC Championship

All good points, and I agree that the Saints are much tougher against the run then the pass... However the Rams are way more affective offensively when they have a balanced attack! Our O'line simply can't pass block 50 plus times a game, and all 3 of the Rams loss's came with over 50 pass attemps! ...
