Re: Aaron Donald unhappy with Week 1 performance

I guess it’s a matter of degree. Was he the best version of AD? No. Was he the best Dlineman on the field? Yes. Pff has him at 86. I never blasted him, didn't say he sucked just agreed that he was rusty and not at his best yet. He knows it, too. But 86? Hmmm. Zero tackles, zero sacks, zero forced f...

I feel vindicated on this one. Donald and Wade Philips both agree with me. I guess it’s a matter of degree. Was he the best version of AD? No. Was he the best Dlineman on the field? Yes. Re: RAMS WILL GO AS FAR AS GOFF WILL TAKE THEM

If you load up to stop Gurley then you have to contend with Goff and those recievers. A vaunting task for many defenses. The only detail is red zone scoring and we have to get the tight ends involved to become more efficient. It's a detail that will kill us if we don't get it fixed. If we have trou...

Re: Tight ends were invisible

It just wasn’t part of THIS game plan. They will be used later on this year. Obviously not a big part of the game plan, I will give you that. But there is no fricken way the game plan was to throw the tight ends zero passes. ...... As the game developed, they got completely overlooked by McVay. I l...

Re: Donald Was Rusty and It Showed

Watch that game again. AD consistently beat his man, Raiders were just throwing the ball within 2.5 seconds and it's almost impossible to get a sack unless a defender is unblocked with that time. Our dline caused several holding cause even with the quick passes. This - what game was OP watching? On...

Re: The Leg Is At It Again

55 yards off of the infield dirt. The infield in Oakland is such a disgrace. The sooner they get out of there the better. The NFL should have stepped in sooner and demanded they do something with that playing surface or play somewhere else. Very few high schools even play on that crap.

That game showed two things. Saints defense not as good as advertised and Bucs offense pretty damn good. For a single game like this, I would take Fitzpatrick over Winston.

Re: Tight ends were invisible

If that's what you want to believe, that's on you,, I'm just giving my take on it.. We are going to disagree. As far as not showing everything, this isn't something that I would put in that category. I want defenses to have to worry about the te's in our offense. Let them see all the game films of ...

Re: Simple question - where were our TEs last night?

I posted about this too. I don't think this is on the tight ends at all. It seems like they did what they were asked to do. I didn't see Goff throw or even look their way. At the least, they should be great guys to check down to but Goff doesn't even do that. As the game developed, McVay/Goff just k...

Re: Worried about what Sam Bradford has in-store for us this week

Upland hit the nail on the head!! NEVER Underestimate your opponent. I don't think you ever see the Patriots do it. Bradford obviously had a bad day, he has proven if on, he can beat any team in this league. That performance last week was a great example of a team effort. You prepare for him having...

Re: Tight ends were invisible

They didn't need to use the TE's, Higbee played most of the game with 60 snap counts. Everett with 5 snap counts Mundts with 2 snap counts No targets to any of the TE's The game plan was to use WRs and Gurley... They were not needed,,, We don't want to show everything in one game... I dont see any ...

-Duck and cover.
-Fake another injury
-Extort more money out of Bill Bidwell (or you fill in the blank here)
-My money is on a bunch of dink-and-dunk passes and plenty of over/under throws deep
I know, it's scary. How do you game plan for that?

Ram's defense

I'm not going to complain too much because the overall outcome was good. 13 points..... But I just am not a big fan of Wade Phillips. There,,,, I said it. Look, I know the guy knows what he is doing, he is experienced and has a good, maybe great track record. I guess I just don't like the style of d...

Re: Rams' slow start may have been a result of rust from sitting starters all of preseason

I'm sure it was. As long as it didn't affect the outcome of the game, sitting the starters was the right thing to do. They got the win and nobody will care how they played in the first half of the first game.

Tight ends were invisible

One thing I noticed is the Rams tight ends were invisible on the passing game. I was hoping McVay would get them going in the offense this year. It didn't happen last night. Sometimes Goff was passing to wr's in some very tight windows - I think it would help open things up to have the tight end cat...

You can't hit them high and can't hit them low. It's almost like the NFL is devaluing the position. They are going to need to put a flag on the qb and sack him that way.

Re: 20 point win on the road

It wasn't an easy game on that fricken dirt and Raider country but it ended up being a 20 point win. It kind of reminded me of the way the Eagles won games last year when they didn't play their best. It looked a little bit sloppy, uneven etc but when you look up at the score board they win by 20 poi...

I ended up watching the whole game. I couldn't not watch it. This morning I had a 800 am meeting an hour away from home. That almost never happens. It had to be the day after a Rams late game.

Re: Another huge jump in the Line

I hope the the dramatic rise in the point spread means that the sharps have been waiting all week to pounce on the 4 or 4 1/2 that seemed to settle in. Well today it's jumped up a full point and a half to 5 1/2 and a whopping 6 at quite a few books. Rams getting all the money....Hope they all cash ...

Le'Veon Bell holdout becoming a big distraction

What Ptt is dealing with now is exactly what I was worried about the Aaron Donald hold out turning into. -- Players making pre game comments- media blows it up, coaches having to defend, etc. Then the team doesn't win a game that they should and then Bell makes a cryptic tweet and the story gets eve...

Dam it. I thought it was 9:20. I have early meeting tomorrow and I cannot even watch at least half of this game.
