I think I commented on this at the time. Fisher said something very interesting in his interview. He came to the Rams knowing that there was a pending move.

I think that's the main thing Fisher is somewhat bitter about. He was brought in because the organization knew he would tow the company line and not give away that there was no intention to remain in St. Louis under any circumstances. He thought that would secure his job well into the new stadium. Unfortunately for Fisher, even the Rams expect you to win some games and at least be competitive.

And he was paid handsomely to contain that information that most of us already knew. Bottom line is Stan won't make money with Fisher at the helm so he had to do the right thing for us fans.
We all know the game has passed him by it's just that he doesn't know it and his players loved him. Strange business.

The move is what got Fisher hired in the first place. He had the experience to transition an NFL team across the country. What he was less skilled at was running a modern NFL offense.

I know some Ram fans from USC who went to a Rams game in StL a few years ago.

They met with Fisher before the game and he guaranteed them the Rams were coming back to LA within three years.

It was posted on the USC boards but I never saw it make it over to the Post-Dispatch board. I didn't post it because they said Fisher told them it was off the record.

I don't think it was as early as 2012 though, I think it was either 2013 or 14.
