If you really think about how very close we were to being 5-1 or even 6-0 at this point. Of course almost does count. But realizing how close this was, is mind boggling considering state of the Rams last year.

Indeed, we could be 6-0.
The most encouraging sign is that we have been in the position to win all of these.
I look for the defense to continue to improve and maybe a game or two where the offense is really out of sync. It happens to all NFL teams.
This team doesn't implode when things don't go as planned and that is why it is so encouraging.
10-6 or 11-5 is a real possibility.

The heck with Kupp, if Gurley doesn't fumble at the 2-inch line, the Rams would have later gone up 17-0 instead of just 10-0 and the game would have been over.

I don't believe any team will be more prepared entering each game than the Rams in all 3 phases.
Some will perform better.. But it won't be for lack of quality coaching.

Still a whole lot of time to go there. Lot still could have happened.

But to have the ball in the hands of your most sure handed receiver and have him drop it in the closing seconds...that's tough. Not a perfect throw, but 2 hands on it, gotta make that catch.

am I getting forgetful, or wasn't it 0-0 when Gurley fumbled at the endzone?

Eh, even in the Rams glory days they lost games they should have won. Every team does, really.
But I would hate for it to cost us a playoff birth.

 Let's win some games.

Maybe Goff should have thrown the ball a little better. Ever think about that? That would have been a fingertip catch. Hopefully Kupp will find a pair of those magic gloves that make average receivers look great.

Have seen multiple WRs make tougher catches.

Most importantly, Kupp knows he should have had it.

They *have* those gloves... have you been watching? Go look at Treadwell's one hander against GB this week.

Kupp is known for his pure hands....he could be pressing a little right now as a rookie trying a bit too hard and doing a lot of thinking vice just playing.

Those things will work themselves out as he settles in with the team and playbook and lets his ability take over.

I'm not worried about Kupp he has already proven to me that he was a solid pick.

As I thought about that play it was just one of those things that they'll both learn from. I think Kupp turned up the field and didn't give Goff a good angle to throw to, Goff put it away from the defender so it couldn't be defended. It was also a rocket that Kupp couldn't handle. Just another instance of the receiver and qb not quite on the same page. If Kupp had turned towards the middle of the field it would have been a perfect throw into Kupp's hands..
