The Rams have improved for many reasons, but in the playoff they will only go as far as JARED GOFF takes them. I know about Gurley, Watkins, Kupp, Woods etc.. but they need Goff to make the engine roar, so let's hold on for the ride

If I had to complete that sentence it would be...."as their run defense takes them."

We need stops against these NFC teams with strong running games. I think Goff and co will not be the problem.

I agree this. Way more concerned about the defense. Goff though does need to play well.

Especially the 70-80 yard TD runs. These should not happen in the playoffs. Unless it’s us.

Also worried about the Defense, especially against the run but I'm most worried about the kicker choking when a FG is needed the most. If O-line holds up...they will move the ball. Just hope the PK only has to hit PATs, not FGs.

This is a TEAM sport - we win as a team or we lose as a bunch of individuals looking for scapegoats.

Go Rams!! Beat the Birds!!

This. I was going to say as far as their linebackers take them but yours will suffice ;)

I've been anticipating a last minute, game winning drive led by Goff since I know it's coming. THIS^^^ though seems accurate to me. Wade Phillips expertise proves invaluable.

I agree with the OP because I believe Atl will focus on Gurley... both running and as a pass target.
Goff will have to spread it around to win and has shown he can.

I was wrong. Goff was good enough to win.

The guys who said run D? I tip my cap to you.
I’m not sure that would’ve been the case without the turnovers... but that’s how it played out.

Goff is a keeper.

I agree. This loss was not Goff's fault. We have to remember, he is only going to get better. This was his first full season.

I'm really not that p.o. as much as I thought I would be but I feel Goff is definitely a keeper.

Goff did not play well... but was not the reason for the loss. We got beat by Cooper having the worst game of his career at the worst time as well as Sammy just playing awful on the few targets he had no effort. Ogletree also had a subpar game. early pressure on Ryan that did not result in sacks or turnovers did not help. Just got beat by a better team today. The o line was pretty passive until too late in the game to make a difference. Only about 5 plays total with effective run blocking.

That is a bullshit myth. Putting points on the board wins super bowls.

I wouldn’t say Goff had a bad game. How many drops did Gurley have?
And Higbee & Watkins both could’ve/should’ve made plays.

The plays that gurley dropped the ball on were going no where anyway and a few of the passes even completions were not thrown well Goff was not accurate today in general he made a few nice throws but was not consistant

Again his play was not the issue with the loss. i put it mostly on Coopers bad play turnovers and poor decision in game. The Oline being blown up for first 3 quarters. Ogletree missing angles and tackles on key plays. Watkins with zero effort. and Atlanta playing without any crucial mistakes.

He's still a work in progress.
But that third down pass to Woods on the sideline? Amazing. Same with the deem seam pass to Woods.

He'll keep getting better.

Goff made some poor throws, yes, but also some bad decisions. Collinsworth showed a replay of a wide open Watkins where Goff had plenty of time and never even looked at him. CC said that he may get over those mistakes with experience.
Hope so. He played very poor in every aspect of the game. He was awkward and confused. That is why everyone is saying they looked out of sync. That's on the QB
Falcons dared him to beat them and he was far from up to it.
Maybe next year.
