there's a Video at the bottom of this post :

1st off Trumaine Johnson got paid 16 M last year and he's gonna want more then that Now......., I'm Sorry but he's not worth that mush for his skill set......!

So I say we offer Denver our 3rd rder this year and a 3rd rounder in 2019 but it may cost us a 2nd rder in 2019 to get Aqib Talib .... try re-working a 4 year deal out for his contract........maybe 10m a year........with the 4th year being a buy out year.......!!!

then go after Malcomb Butler for 9m on a 5 year Contract......!! I think this would strengthen our RAMS Secondary......!!

I'd move Taqib or Butler into a safety position ......Cuz Troy Hill will probablty be ready to be a starter in 2018.......Lamarcus Joyner and Taqib or Butler back there in the safety spots ........Would make it really tough for teams to go deep on the Rams........!!

Of course we gotta re-sign Joyner 1st.......TJ#22 probably gonna get a 17m to 19m contract per year out there......Browns * 49ers * Sheattle will probably over pay........!!!

Go RAMS : I know he has a Big Mouth but maybe we could sneak Sherman away from Sheattle and put him back there with Joyner.........!!! I'd offer our 1st rder in 2020 to the Sheattle SeaHags for Sherman........! I think we will be in a position in 2020 where we won't really need a 1st rd pick that draft....... :!:
we did very good this year in the draft without a 1st rder........

Talib will be released, IMO.
Teams know Denver has a cap problem.

A first rounder for Sherman would be absolutely crazy.

Keep our draft picks over the next few years, sign our own top FA’s, draft smart, clear up cap space and develop our own players. Perhaps sign one or two mid range FA’s to cap friendly contracts. We are going to need to sign several of our players to big contracts over the next few years. That’s how winners are built.

If you really think about his post it really isn't a bad idea and makes sense. Trumaine Johnson is going to want a deal in the 5 year range paying atleast what the franchise tag was paying him. Yes, Broncos are going to release Talib but why not offer them our third 6th round pick this year for Talib if he agrees to do a trade and sign type deal. I feel a four year deal for around $32 mil and around $16 mil guaranteed on an overall deal which averages around $8 mil a year. At least the Broncos get something for Talib instead of nothing for releasing him.

On the flip side of that, Malcom Butler is a very good CB and is still young with great experience under his belt and would be great in Wade Phillips system. It's going to cost somewhere around $9mil a year to lock him down. I would say a 5-year $45 mil contract and I think he signs to be in LA and in a system like Wade Phillips. These CB's have to take in consideration that our d-line is a beast and will continue to get even better and will wreak havoc on opposing QB's which makes there job much easier when QB's have to throw early or not at all.

Both Talib and Butler will cost less than Trumaine Johnson and give us two shut down CB that can cover and tackle. I don't trust Troy Hill and I don't know if Webster is going to return well after his injury. If Roby is resigned he is not a starting CB but obviously a slot CB or nickel guy. So to me this Talib / Butler idea is actually something to think about.

First off...

Tru is getting nowhere near 16 on a multiple year deal.

Go from there.

I think you are greatly mistaken if Trumaine doesn't get offered 5 year $70 - $75 mil deal on the open market when free agency begins. Josh Norman, Xavier Rhodes, and Patrick Peterson are in the $15 mil a year bracket right now and Josh Norman signed his deal two years ago. Trumaine Johnson will once again in 2018 and beyond will be the highest paid CB in the NFL.

He’s not in their category. He’s not close to a top 10 Corner.

Thanx for all the input guys ..... I would only consider Sherman on the Rams if Butler and Talib were in Rams horns.......!! If we landed both those CB's and added Sherman and resigned Joyner we'd have the best secondary in the NFL.....! And with our Line were gonna get to at least 2 SB's maybe even 3 or 4 if everything fell our way.........!!!

Go RAMS........2018 is up for grabs...... and of Course , always beat the 40Whiners forsure !!

Priority 1 = Retain the core players and get them signed long term (Donald, Goff, Gurley)
Priority 2 = Retain all our draft picks for the foreseeable future as there will inevitably be some real diamonds (Like C.Kupp) who can have an immediate impact in their first 3 years on a rookie wage scale.
Priority 3 = Don't waste cap space on expensive overrated FA's.
