Now that we have Marcus Peter we will have to move back to recoup some picks. If we can get a 2nd rounder and a 3 I'd be happy. Not sure yet but I think our 3rd rounder is gone

What were the terms of the trade?

I think you’re right.

Definitely trade back, if you can get value.

Adam Schefter says no first rounder involved. Was on Sirius.

Plus by letting Johnson walk we'll get an extra third rounder.

It's good that no first rounder was used. Have to think our 3rd rounder was used and maybe some picks in the 2019 draft. Won't know until the advance of the league year.

Holly crap,, no first rounder,,,
what a steal IMO..

Hell,,, if we gave up a 3rd and some of the three 6rounders we have,, that would be a steal.

either way,, not giving up a first rounder, that's a steal in itself.

I hope that's true....

But we should get a 3rd back from losing TruJ....

I think a trade back into the 2nd is definitely the way to go now. With CB taken care of, and assuming Joyner and Watkins are both in the fold, there’s nothing that really needs to be addressed in the first round. That leaves developmental LT as the top priority IMO. There seem to be a couple of kids that have a bunch of raw talent, but need to learn the game still, which would be perfect for our situation.

If we trade down to the 2nd round, that would put Ragnow (C, Arkansas) into play for us.

We need to trade back with a team picking in the top 7 this year, for a future 1st round pick next year. Why? To get our future left tackle. The best ones are taken in the top 5 picks. Hopefully the rams will have better luck than last time.

Hopefully we can get get a 3rd pick this year. I hope a quality center drops as that we be a need in a year or two. Rebuilding the online is still top need. We have one old man, but all pro, and two others over 30. They won’t play forever.

We may have to give up a 6 or 7 round pick but I think we have some extra.

Seattle moved back last year from 26 to 35, and picked up extra picks in rounds 3, 4, 6 & 7. Rams can follow a similar path this draft and recoup some of the picks they will be trading for Peters.

I think we need to wait and see, Price or McGlinchey have been projected to fall that far. If one of them are available we grab them, Price will be our center, working with Sullivan or McGlinchey LT working with Whit. Don't get me wrong, I am all for getting more draft picks, but remember folks, we have a pretty good team as it stands and finding a stud at 23 will not hurt, even if we do lose the #3, and if we get one back for Tru leaving we are sitting in the same position we were before the trade. There have been a few other projected to fall to our 23 as well, possibly Key and maybe even Ward, I certainly am not opposed to going for more DB help, even with this trade

Ideal.
Could probably get a decent OT, C & CB.
I’m still struggling with the idea of Joyner on a big money multi year deal. Maybe they draft a S in 4th or 5th to get ready for next year & franchise him?

Been thinking about paying Joyner too. Cody Davis could be a temporary solution on a short term deal, draft a FS in round 3 or 4 to compete for the starting job later in the year, similar to Johnson last season. Joyner is versatile, which is a plus, but that is a lot of jack for that position. Another tough call.
