Unfortunate news but with all the contracts coming up in the next few years the team will have to very careful how they commit their long term money. I see the Rams working to develop a replacement for Joyner this season and then letting him walk along with Suh in the offseason. They should both be popular in free agency and the Rams could pick up additional compensation picks in the following year like they did with Trumaine Johnson and Sammy Watkins. Those comp picks can soften the blow of those losses.

I’d like to see us be able to keep him since we’ve developed him to the point where he is now. But I also understand that Donald, Gurley, and Goff are our top three priorities.

I think Cooks may be done this year after we get Donald’s contract taken care of, so Joyner may unfortunately be a cap casualty.

It’s unfortunate if he pulls a Sammy Watkins and runs to the highest bidder, but I’m certainly expecting that to be the case.

I hate that a lot of it comes down to money, but these guys certainly have to look after their own future. Even though it pisses me off I understand it’s the negative part of the business.

I see him as a Watkins type deal....flee for the money...I think he fits best with Wades system tho, so I would let the buyer beware

Even though the market hasn't been great for safeties Joyner will still be highly sought after because he can also play the slot corner role which will make him very attractive in free agency.
