• Points Allowed Per Game: 23rd (25.6)

• Yards Allowed Per Game: 23rd (374.1)

• Rushing Yards Allowed Per Game: 1st (74.1)

The Saints have the number one rushing defense, a defense that stuffs the run yielding only 3.2 yards per pop. They give up many points and are 23rd in pass defense. Maybe using Brown more (13 carries) will help. If the Saints apply pressure on Goff like they did last week against theVikes and stop the run, it might be a long day for the Rams.

Not sure what happened to O line play against the Pack, but this unit will determine the outcome of the game in large measure. Saints now have tape on how the Packers shut us down int he first half by smacking us down on first down attempts.

McVay said the Pack defense showed him looks he didn't anticipate. The Saints will copy the Pack but McVay won't be caught off guard like he was last week.

Goff and the O line must turn in A+ grades if we are to keep the streak alive.

Jo Jo will break one for a TD---my crystal ball predicts!

They are always ahead and teams are passing to try and catch up.
Watch what happens when the Rams get ahead early and then Ram Gurley and Brown down their throats as the #1 run defense is no more.

NO passing yards allowed per game 300 = 28th ranked pass D.

Do you forget we are the #1 rushing offense.

The Saints weakness is against the pass hence why they went out and got Eli apple.

I think this is it exactly. They tend to invite shootouts. When teams are passing at will on them...why run? I'd be curious how The Saints rank in rushing attemps and yards per rush against them per game.

McVay said his offense sputters when it struggles on FIRST DOWNS. Going against the #1 rush defense on first down seems to dictate using down #1 as a pass play.

Kupp's return couldn't come at a better time.

McVay vs Sean: great HC matchup.

Wade needs to have a serious talk wit me-not-we Peters.

Still, 3.2 yards per rush allowed leads the NFL. They're good against the run.

They have the 5th lowest rushing attempt's against (161) and the lowest YPA at 3.2.

That stat is an illusion. They get into shootouts which take the run out of the game.

I don’t know what to say about the run stat other than we’ll find out how real it is this week.

I think Goff will have a good game... he seemed to like playing there as a rookie.

One thing is for sure. The Saints D has been a disappointment this year. They were a top 10 unit last year and they were supose to have improved during the off-season. They just haven't clicked this year.

I like the Rams match-up on offense. This game will also be a good test for our D. See where this unit is really at. The Saints on offense are a complete team.

Interesting. Maybe their philosophy has just been to stop the run first, hence the good numbers through the air. Looking forward to seeing how TGII looks against them.

At his most recent presser, McVay acknowledged the effectiveness of the Saints rushing defense giving credit to the size and skill of their interior linemen. Not an illusion!

Gurley seems to step up when challenged. I like TG 30 in this game.
