If we hire an inexperienced head coach the key in my opinion is hiring experienced coordinators. If McVay is the pick then hire a Wade Phillips type to handle the defense and someone he can lean on. If an inexperienced defense minded head coach then a Norv Turner type.

It helps, but running a team is a full time gig= and having an experienced DC isn't enough. There is so much more a HC has to do than a OC as he is now- and I don't think he is ready- few are- esp that young.

Lots of discussion here on other threads about this. Seems like Wade Phillips is the number 1 choice for DC with McVay. Has there been an OC associated with McVay? Callahan and Turner are a couple of names thrown out there.

If McKay is the choice, I would want Wade and Callahan as the DC and OC.

You would get no complaints from me with that staff.

If that is the case, even though Williams did a nice job, it would be an upgrade.
