Vintage Rams Memorabilia

Postby Fballguy » 18 Jan 2015, 10:25

Hi there...I collect old Rams memorablia ranging from their days in Cleveland through the mid-70's when I first became a fan. I focus mainly on pennants and ticket stubs...though I do have many other Rams items as well...and have a pretty decent collection. Any other vintage Rams collectors out there? Anyone have anything they'd be interested in selling?

I mostly have old football cards of the Rams going back to 1950, and a full collection of every Roman Gabriel cards

That's awesome...I have quite a few cards as well. But I prefer stuff like this:

Very nice pictures. I have never seen those pennants before. I have a few from the 1950s, 60s, and 70s. But nothing like yours.

I particularly like the full Ram on the pennant. We should go back to that image.

Go Rams!

Thanks...I love this old Rams stuff. Hoping they revisit some of these designs when they move back to L.A.

Wow, some of this stuff really brings back memories. Makes me wish I had kept all my old ticket stubs from the early 70s

Wow Cleveland Rams, that's cool.

Anyone have a color photo of the 1949 season when the Rams went red and yellow for that 1 year only? I just have digital black and whites.

Been collecting since the mid-70's. I used to mail order boxes of topps football cards by year back then when they were only about $20.00 for the entire set. They sure jumped up in price some years later!

I've collected Rams stuff like :R

football cards - every topps Rams card from 1954-1990. I slowed down then stopped in the mid-90s.

sports illustrated - ones with Rams photos since the 60's.

posters - had a few from SI.

game programs - all the home games from 1977-78, with several others mixed in as early as 1967 up to 1985.

mid-late 70's pro bowl programs

Prologs from 1972-1976

Super Bowl XIV program

media guides - from 1967-1987, and a 1999.

yearbooks - 1983, '84, '88-91

team pictures - hard copies 1970-1979, digital from the 50s to 90s

books - team history, Haden's, Gabriel's, Youngblood's, Deacon's, Warner's, or just NFL series paperbacks like NFL Report from 1969-1984.

jerseys - Jack Youngblood home 1974 replica (no name), and Grant Wistrom's game-worn home with auto

autographs - Haden, Youngblood (not a big collector of autos)

many digital photos - from the 60s to 80s

vhs tapes - started recording games in 1985, stopped after 2001. All originals except for when I traded for some from the 70's to some that I missed in 1985 through 1999. Acquired many before that from as early as 1975 (dvd). In the process of transferring all to dvd/mp4 as soon as I find a reliable vcr. Used to trade a lot through online sources back in the 90s.

mp4s DL'd from youtube - many team highlight videos (of all teams) and several games. Got most Rams team highlights from 1967-80.

I used to have the toy plastic helmets with both the yellow horns and white horns, 2-bar facemask. I shouldn't have gotten rid of them. Just have a custom one now (made from my old Riddell HS football helmet that I kept) with yellow horns. Charles White-type open cage royal facemask with bull ring and dark sun-visor. Looks real from a short distance but it's painted, not a decal.

electric football - I hand-painted the Rams back in the 70s (home and away), along with other teams like the Steelers, Vikings, Bills, Raiders, and Seahawks. No longer have the game or pieces.

The most I paid for 1 item were the jersey's - #98 was $50, #85 was $40
