We've got Talib AND Peters. Now they're entertaining Suh? That's a combustible trio.

I think it's inviting too much emotion on one squad - not to mention what sort of message it sends AD99.

We made our living last offseason picking up big Whit and a couple more shrewd low-radar FA moves - then had an excellent draft.

Rams - please follow this recipe. No more splash - AVOID the HYPE signing.

I guess you haven't been paying attention,,
Suh said, he is not playing for the money,,
Its about playing for a Ring...
So this is not going to hurt AD at all...

I would think the msg to AD would be... "How would you like it if you didn't get double teamed all the time? How would you like it if a few other guys could play the run like you do? How would you like it if this defense was even better? How would you like it if you had a big shiny ring to go with the money we're going to be paying you?"

My attention span is just fine, bub. $$$ is the secondary concern.

His helmet-stomping, cheap-shot, 15-yarder-at-the-worst-possible-time style is my main problem.

Son of Bum needs to be vetoed on this one.

If he’s willing to play NT at right price?
Sure.

Okay, okay, okay.... I'll stop being a dick.

Nothing ticks me off more than a player who can’t control his emotions and CONSTANTLY gets 15-yd unsportsmanlike penalties for cheap shots or getting upset at something and losing control. It happens to everyone occasionally, but Suh it is a persistent issue. That is a “me first” mentality. If Suh has matured and is past then welcome .

I would seriously put a stipulation in his contract that for every 15-yard penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct you forfeit a percentage of your salary. Put your money where your mouth is. If you are serious about a ring, the crap you have pulled throughout your career doesn’t cut it

Y'all full of shit. If I told you 100% that signing Suh would win us a Super Bowl next year everyone would put their moral high ground aside and say yes. Funny how I'm not hearing more bitching about Talib and Peters on and off field issues

I worry about not making the Super Bowl because in a playoff game Suh commits a stupid unsportsmanlike penalty that allows their opponent to continue a drive that leads to a go ahead score sending us home

Yea, cause we all know it's not at all possible that under the same circumstances he drops the QB for a 9 yard loss on third and four.

He wouldn't play the nose....Brockers would move back inside. I wouldn't be surprised if Brockers is already slated to move back inside with the signing of Easley.....When healthy Easley is better than Brockers at end.

Thing is Wade loves his matchups and will be moving Donald all over the line creating all kinds of combinations with all 4 if they got Suh

I can see that...but I would think Suh and AD would be labeled as Ends....now where they end up at snap time is completely different and based off of what they are seeing. That really shouldn't have any bearing for Suh because it would benefit him being in the best position to make plays...IMO.

I took it that Dick was saying Suh would only come to the Rams in the nose position and I really don't see any way that could/would happen.

Yes let's revert back to the five pillar concept that Steve spagnolo implemented. That got us a bunch of wins on the board

I would have rather had Avery Williamson as my splash ILB

Good player and I'm all in an a bigger ILBer....but no way you can compare him to Suh as an impact player....can the Rams get a similar result at ILB with Suh on the line?.The answer is yes IMO.

Williamson signed a 3 year 22 mil contract and...he's already signed...time to move on.

I actully tend to agree with the OP...and I'm a guy that wanted Suh over Bradford back in the day.
I can just imagine the Rams putting up a defensive clunker early in the season, and these guys start to turn on each other.
I'm a Yankees fan, and I enjoy it much better when they have a bunch of home-grown guys playing well, rather than loading up on free agents that are just about past their prime.

So, I'd rather the Rams do what they did last year (which they've already done) - get a few good FA's, and then sign some other solid guys that fit well to round out the team.

 Let's win some games.

Brilliant. There literally couldn't be a lazier reply than this. But, you knew it would inevidably come, at some point in the conversation.
