Would not break my heart to see Burgess get some snaps . I don't love Rapp's game at all although he brings the wood when he hits but he seems 2 steps behind on most plays. Just wonder if Burgess got some plays in if it wouldn't send a good message to Rapp that is all.

Rapp is the starter and will continue to get 100 percent of the snaps bc of the other things he brings to the table.

Scott is the guy Burgess needs to beat. Scott got around 30 snaps to help with the coverage. My guess is Morris feels that Scott > Burgess in coverage.

Rapp will be the starter till he gets shredded. Unfortunately that could happen this week.

Certainly not impressed with the play of Rapp at this point, he may well need some bench time to get it right

Rapp is a really good in the box Safety and excels against the run, in blitzes, and on short passes. He's weaker in coverage on intermediate routes and he'd be toast on a deep route against a WR.

Still, I like him and he would be a good spy on Murray this week. Keep Murray in the pocket and don't let him get outside.

Agreed.
Ramsey is doing alot if inside the box stuff that Rapp use to do more often. On obvious passing situations, I would move Ramsey back into coverage, either man vs man or a safety, and let Rapp do the box work.

Great post. I think this is where Rapp could excel. He’s really been struggling this season. I think keeping him in the pocket and his number job is to contain Murray, I’m all in for this…

I would love to see more Burgess. And Fuller has been very quiet. Not quite the same burst he had last year. As long as we are winning, all good by me.

The rams secondary needs better safety coverage play.

safeties are not playing well at all according to their PFF grades, both Fuller and Rapp are ranked over 60

Not surprised by that PFF grade. That's pretty much how I have seen it. Both been mediocre.

Fuller has taken a step back. Maybe he is thinking too much or have too much to do with the green dot.
Rapp shows that he hasn't improved in coverage. A matter of fact I can't see any area where Rapp has approved over the years.

I agree. Rapp has the smarts to anticipate but in my observation, I seen him miss tackles and a step behind receivers/TEs. At this point, would not hurt for another Safety play.
