It's fast coming to a close by the looks of it folks...

Yesterday others like Mike White and Cooper Rush proved themselves as very serviceable backup QB's

I think McVay would easily trade both his backups for one of those two in a heartbeat.

At the very least... I would not be at all confident seeing Wolfie grace the field again this season i'm afraid (and that goes for garbage time too).
It Perkins time or move on.

Just unreal what we witnessed yesterday. McVay has to be thinking about who we continue to play in garbage time. It’s clear that Wolford may not be the answer any longer I’d assume.

Dude, there was one point where I actually had horrible thoughts that we could actually blow this during garbage time and become a laughing stock... He can no longer be trusted I'm afraid.

Perkins showed us flashes of what he's capable of in Pre-season. Let him use his mobile skills to prolong 4th Qtr drives and prevent the opposition from racking up unnecessary points against us like yesterday!

Just made me a little uncomfortable yesterday how that game finished.

Say we got the Cowboys Back -up. It be Cooper Rush pass Complete to Cooper Kupp..... Could see a few announcers having a time with that...

Still a small sample size in 2021 obviously. For overall evaluation, I of course include what I saw from Wolford in games as season-determining crucial as we saw in 2020…one game in fact (AZ) in which he got very little support from his offense (O-line, receivers and run game). I still trust what McVay sees in practice.

With that said, Wolford has totally sucked in 2021 mop-up duty.

I think you guys might be jumping the gun…..Wolf hasn’t has enough reps to come to any conclusions. He’s been in the game during pure mop up duty along with several other backup players. He’s also rusty only playing a few downs. Yes, I’d like to see Perkins, but Wolf hasn’t had a chance.

I think a welfare check is absolutely in order here.

I was thinking that yesterday as I was watching Wolfie screw up. Safety Blitz is going to lose his mind.

IMO you have to go Perkins next time. He showed some good things in the preseason. The one thing I saw that I didn’t like IIRC was a tendency to stop looking for the open man if the play broke down and he scrambled.

Hopefully it will be a big lead again and not emergency duty.

Agreed. I'm not calling Wolfie the next Steve Young, as far as backups go, but he's on the field with no Woods, Kupp, Hugbee, Henderson. No means of judging him in those conservative mop uo, vanilla offense situations.

People really judging backups when they're coming in up 4 TDs with backups and Rams are running the ball every down?

True, but wouldn't you guys like to see how Perkins could do? I would.

Perkins could be something special imo down the road. We already know what Wolfman can do and this isn't a knock on him. I like the guy, but even though he doesnt have the stars in when he is in, he still has taken a step down this season imo.

Sadly, I'd go with Perkins when Stafford sits...very sad.

I'm indifferent on Wolford. There's some talent there but he's not going to be a threat to any starter in the NFL. If Stafford were to have an issue I wonder whether we'd bring Bortles back. I'm not a Perkins fan. I'd rather grab DiNucci off the Cowboys PS than go with Perkins.

Maybe New Orleans would take Wolfie for a 2022 6th.

Wolford blows. I was honest, you said, "toast that's harsh". Okay. He sucks.

I still question Perkins arm strength and accuracy on mid to deep passes but he can move the chains with his short to intermediate passes and his legs.

Imo Perkins > Wolfie.
