Agree………

Shanahan was in Washington with McVay and him. And other than Samuel the Niners are not happy with the WR unit………………

Unbelievable, really. How a Ringless Veteran can give up a REAL chance at a Ring. Is he really this dumb???

Independent of of course rooting for the Rams to win it all, I'd love to see the Rams win it all and have this Bozo have to live with the fact that he completely BLEW IT.
He doesn't care about a ring. He cares about money . His contract from what I am reading was incentive based ( heavily ) . that means if he doesn't get his touches , he doesn't make money ( or makes a LOT LESS ) . So all this bitching about not getting the ball , is about MONEY . As usual , money . Nothing else . I would bet that if he was getting the same money with ZERO touches or 20 touches per game he wouldn't give a damn .

and I will play devil's advocate on this....what if the Rams were purposely doing this so they would not have to pay him?

It is a possibility , I mean , I don't doubt it . We will never know for sure but I wouldn't be surprised if it was the case. At the end , it is all about money . We fans , we just want our team to win . But for them ? and I mean , coaches , GMs , staff , players , etc .... it is a business and it is all about the money . Of course some players , coaches , some of them , they do have that competitive spirit in them and they also want to win , they also want a ring , but mostly , it is all about the money .

I think his contract was set up so that he was paid like another 100k per active game and not based on number of touches. So he made an extra 600k standing on the sideline.

We will see but, In all honesty the lions should claim him
They have to get Goff a wr.

Also be a funny wink wink deal for McSnead and Holmes. McSnead makes sure D Jack stays off another contender and gets the last laugh.

With that said, the Lions do make sense. We will see.

I haven’t heard anything on Jefferson… should be ok, now we can see a few new guys step up…

I just saw a mock draft with the Lions using our pick to draft Sam Howell of N Carolina… Goff might get one more chance… or they ditch him and draft a veteran “journeyman”…

call me crazy but if I am Detroit I am selecting the big OT from Bama Neal. Solidify the OL and go from there. Pick up a couple of skill players in FA and then build thru the draft

Didn’t see anyone giving up anything for him once it was known he wanted out

Why give up anything when you can get him after release?
I wouldn't have been surprised had a trade happened. The Rams don't want him in the NFC and specifically the NFC West this season. The Rams might well have accepted an AFC 2024 7th round pick conditional on him being with the new team in 2024, (and since he's on an expiring 1 year contract he almost certainly won't be).

Has DeSean landed anywhere yet? Wouldn't it be ironic if nobody wanted him?

Unclaimed

No one wanted his contract
Rather sign for the minimal as a free agent. What I find ironic is I thought D Jack left so he could play more and make more by reaching all of his incentives.

If he signs for the minimal did he get much more money if any?

He just cleared waivers a few hours ago, so if he is signing somewhere, we should know soon.

The interesting caveat here is if he is demanding to be the #1 or #2 receiver in whoever picks him up. He could be waiting while if so. Good luck w that.

Seriously, Mcvay is wanting the ball to go to the best player to catch the ball. There is a REASON why DeSean only had the amount of playing time that he did. McVay and Snead know exactly what each player can do or not do. Hence why Goff is gone, why Kenny is gone, now why Desean is gone.

Bottomline, either you have it or you dont, to be a Los Angeles Ram. You fill the role thats been given, and either you cant cut it or you dont. If we were bottom feeders, then who cares.

We're winning it all this year and our coaches and front office know it. Nothing is stopping us w the eye on the prize.

Agreed--that seems like a good fit for both him and the 'Silver-&-Black,' plus it fits in with the classic Raiders tradition as well... :) ;) :P

Lol, y’all being hard on DJ. Can’t blame a man for wanting to contribute more to a team that can use him. I guess he thought he would be a starter and reality slapped him back to reality. Yes, I think he should of been more patient but now he may be picked up by Green Bay or the Raiders who suddenly need another WR. . I won’t call him selfish because these teams kick players to the curb all the time, so he’s looking out for himself!
No one can absolutely blame him.

Struggling team you bet it’s appropriate to ask why I’m not being given more of a chance. 7-1 team with the leading receiver in the league on the team plus two other really good producing receivers also? Hell no!

His only comment to McVay should have been I’m here to do whatever you need me to do to period. Not complain because he wasn’t being targeted enough. His frustration of ME not being involved as much as ME wants to be is BS. NFL your job is to be a professional. With this teams issues at punt return he should have been telling McVay I’ve got this I’ll fill the roll instead of I want more snaps at WR.

You bet he defines selfish. Glad his bleep is gone!
At least he didn’t do a OBJ and Daddy defend me move…Lol
