Wow I’m a bit surprised……..

Cornell do you know how they are paying these acquisitions from the last two days? I ask you because well you are someone in here that I respect on the cap subject……..

My guess is they are all signing for the minimal. Rams are pretty much just signing/swapping /injury settlement salaries with one player for the minimal for another.

Brown was signed to the Practice Squad not active roster. So Brown wasn't on any other team Practice Squad at the time the rams signed him to theirs

My guess would be PS while they evaluate his conditioning and what he has in the tank. As I said in another post, he shouldn't have a ton of wear and tear, so hopefully he gets on the roster, which one would guess means saying goodbye to Funk, unless there is something else between now and whenever that time might be

Can we get Marshall Faulk back if he's available?

For this offense I'd actually take Steven Jackson before Marshall.

MB can't be any worse than Funk running the ball. At best he's still MB of old getting those 3 and 1s they'd been below average in getting since he left.

Another good depth signing and a player that is familiar with the playbook. Brown was a good short yardage back ( something they didn’t have) and is also good at pass protection. It’s a long season with 15 games still on the schedule so there’s going to be some roster churning along the way. Hated to see the injury to Williams and Hopkins suspension but Brown and Blanton both should be able to contribute immediately as backups and on special teams.

I wonder if they use him as fullback in the new wrinkle 2 RB sets taking over for Skow?

If he can run block I think we could see him lining up some in that spot

Always liked Brown because he is good at finding the endzone down around the goal line. This is something the Rams have been missing. First and goal at the 5....give it to Brown a few times and chances are he scores. He was also pretty good in pass protection if I remember correctly. Rams need a tough, physical runner. Hope he still has something left in the tank.

Oh I 100% agree, just wondering if the staff/FO does

Good point, but 1st and goal at the 5, McVay passes 3 times and settles for a FG.
