We all complain about Morris on this forum but Riley has to fire the DC. The D once again failed this team. You score 45 pts and lose? Tulane went 77 yrds in 23 seconds. Unacceptable Trojan fans.

Maybe it would have been different if they would have been playing in the playoff, but their defense has consistently sucked all year. Tulane would be advancing and USC would be going home.

USC definitely needs to get some defensive players out of the portal this year.

Grinch was the DC at OU when Riley was there and they sucked then and they sucked now. ED on AM570 today made a valid point. " sometimes your friends get you fired." Time to cut bait with Grinch obviously it isn't working. you can not sit here and tell me that Tulane had better players than USC had on D. this is about coaching IMO.

When LR left OU to become HC at USC, Sooner fans warned them about Riley’s weakness on defense and Grinch in particular.

Trojan fans ridiculed them and said it all came from jealousy.

he will right the ship but the only concern I would have for Trojan fans was his response in the press conference after. Stating they are a few plays away from playing in the playoffs is a little alarming. The fact they did not blow out Tulane is concerning. Would love to do a deep dive in the roster regarding the rosters. USC has a slew of 5/4 star players where Tulane probably doesn't have 1.
DC has to be fired. He didn't get the job done at OU and he certainly isn't getting the job done now.

Can't believe USC is keeping their DC. I understand some of it was personnel but they couldn't even play prevent defense to keep other teams from scoring in 2 plays. Morris would be an improvement over what they have today.

1) Who is going to be next year's QB?
2) Do you have them ranked higher or lower next year?
3) How many players are you losing to the draft?

I think the issue with Grinch and Riley is they are buddies. If after 2 games the Trojans still are giving up 35+ pts then there will be a ton of noise. A lot of people are of the opinion that Williams is a generation talent and they would be wasting him if they don't win it all.

Riley is getting a ton of shit right now because he hasn't changed the DC. But I will say this they are getting transfers thru the portal that will improve the D. He is beefing up both OL and DL right now which is their weakness.
