Can one of you money and CAP experts tell us what the $$ implications would be by cutting Robinson and signing Woods?
I'm all in for his return.

Kupp and Woody were tight. Woods knows the system but he seemed to be the odd man out when Stafford arrived. He was also so similar to Kupp they almost seemed redundant.
Alan Robinson hasnt been as productive but offers a different style game. OBJ was a freak with his hands, speed and coordination. I'd ratrher add OBJ if he can still play.

Re: Snead....Go get Robert Woods back!!
No way we can trade Robinson.
According to OverTheCap, the Rams would eat $26M in dead money by cutting Robinson pre-June 1 and $18M if they were to cut him post-June 1. At that point, the Rams would be better off just keeping Robinson until they have an actual “out” in the contract following 2023. Cutting Robinson following the season would cost them the same amount if he were on the roster. After 2023, Robinson would only be owed $8.4M if the Rams were to cut him.
The only realistic option for the Rams this offseason when it comes to moving on from Robinson is to find a trade partner. Given how Robinson has played the last two seasons and his current contract, that will be easier said that done. Teams won’t be rushing to the phone to see if Robinson is available.
If the Rams were to trade Robinson pre-June 1, they would eat just $11.2M in dead money and have a cap savings of $6.8M. However, if they trade him post-June 1, that cap saving increases to $15.2M with a dead money hit of just $2.8M.

Would love to see a healthy OBJ AND Woods back on this line up with Kupp. Probably beyond our means this season.

I'm not ready to give up on ARob. Every metric I have read said he was getting open. From everything I have read, it wasn't a ARob problem, it was a Stafford and lack of OL problem. Stafford didn't have a chance to build chemistry with Arob during camp bc of his elbow issue. Stafford didn't have a chance to build chemistry with Arob during the season bc of the OL issue. When pressured, Stafford quickly went to Kupp or Higbee, the guys he had chemistry with.
Eagles were interested in Arob and Kupp and Stafford both went to Mcvay to get Arob during the offseason. Arob still has it.
The Rams dont have a Arob problem, tbe rams have a OL problem that lead to a chemistry problem between Stafford and Arob
Again, every metric I have read has said that Arob was getting open. The problem is Stafford getting pressured and going to his sure thing Kupp.
Fix the OL and Arob will shine.

I would dearly love to find a trade for him post June 1. Can we just trade for a pick or two and be done? If so, make a reasonable trade offer to someone for a couple of late picks and do it. The cap savings would should be able to pay OBJ if he's healthy and have enough or almost to pay Gay as well. OBJ was said to be looking at a deal around $10 mil last season. IF he's healthy and we offered, be interesting to see if he'd take it.UplandRam wrote: ↑February 22nd, 2023, 7:16 pm No way we can trade Robinson.

Transforming Robinson into a healthy OBJ *and* Gay seems like a hell of a deal
