We can all see what Everett has seen.
“He’s being utilized improperly on the field,” Everett told Odegard. “You can call it a Star, you can call it whatever, but he’s a shutdown corner. He needs to shut down receivers and he would for any other team. I just can’t figure out what the Rams defense wants to try to do with that.”

Again it always seems to come back to Morris. Not sure what Sean sees in this guy.
I know we are not NFL GMs or HCs but Snead and McVay always a little slow to let some people go or bench them. I say this especially with Morris we all see it. Same with Bobby Evans he kept getting starts and why most wanted him to not make the 53 this past season forget starting.

I am really starting to question him now too. It was obvious he was frustrated all yearBrooklynRam74 wrote: ↑February 25th, 2023, 9:58 amMcVays absent mindedness really scares me.malibu wrote: ↑February 25th, 2023, 9:55 am Again it always seems to come back to Morris. Idc about Morris. He's never been any good. Whether it was with Tampa or Atlanta. Idc what the defenders have to say. My own eyes seen how trash he is with his scheme. I have no interest in watching this team this year if Morris is still on the staff. Have no interest in seeing them if they're going to purposely lose just to get better draft position. McVay is too busy tryna be best friends with everyone. Friends don't make money. Wins do.

Ramsey is a man to man shut down corner which is a hot commodity. Unfortunately with NFL offenses going to bunch formations and motion it’s easier to avoid those types of corners. Unless your defense is exclusively man to man Ramsey’s skills are wasted. Staley and Morris have played Ramsey in a lot of zone and off coverage which kinda defeats the purpose of a shutdown corner.Maybe that’s why the Rams are considering a trade.

Slightly better than average, certainly not earth-shaking
"Opposing quarterbacks targeting Ramsey completed 62.9% of their passes and had a 74.5 passer rating off Ramsey in 2022. Ramsey allowed seven touchdown passes, which was more than he allowed in his past two seasons combined. The 712 receiving yards allowed were the most in a season Ramsey has allowed since 749 with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2018".

You can't help being underutilized when you have an idiot DC that plays prevent defense all game every play all season long. The Rams will not be a threat to any team as long as Raheem Morris is the DC

Can’t blame the coach all the time. I watch plenty of games where JR just gave up on plays.

I agree obviously a lot of this is on JR HOWEVER part of being a coach is understanding your strengths of your players. And it is obvious JR thrives when he is put on an island and matches up with the opposing team's #1. He does not thrive in a zone based soft coverage scheme.DelMar wrote: ↑February 27th, 2023, 6:01 am^ThisUplandRam wrote: ↑February 26th, 2023, 5:40 pm Slightly better than average, certainly not earth-shaking

Hope there's some team dumb enough to trade for him and pay him, all the while giving us decent draft capital for the privilege of doing so.

Absolutely, and the same can be said for Taylor Rapp and Troy Hill. Hill had one good season then got picked up by the Browns, only to be released and our dumbasses picked him back up. If the Browns didn’t want him, i’m not sure why we did. Now he’s gone again. If you want to go even further just look at David Long Jr. This guy has had opportunities and he still sucks.malibu wrote: ↑February 25th, 2023, 9:55 am Again it always seems to come back to Morris.
