Re: Jalen Carter. Somebody's Bust And Major Problem
I have been saying that since the news came out. Crazy but in most mock drafts he doesn't get past the Bears at 9. I wouldn't touch this kid with a 10 ft pole. He has shown me zero desire to get his shit together. Give him $M's and then what???
This could be Warren Sapp all over again when he dropped down to the low 20's that one year. Granted that worked out for the Bucs.

Re: Jalen Carter. Somebody's Bust And Major Problem
A couple of things here... 1) has it occurred to anyone that Carter may have already gotten 6 figure money in college and he's already lazy and wreckless on that? 2) someone didn't get into his ear about maybe keeping his nose clean and staying in top shape through the draft process. So that he can get his 7 figure signing bonus before he go's all Haynesworth.
Just stupid and otherwise I agree with Brooklyn that he is undraftable... well, maybe around Mr irrelevant time.. but certainly not anything that requires a major investment in nfl terms

Re: Jalen Carter. Somebody's Bust And Major Problem
we are all in agreement but mark my words this guy will be a top 10 pick. he just is way too talented and there are multiple teams out there that think they can straighten this guy out.CierraRam wrote: ↑March 15th, 2023, 11:38 am A couple of things here... 1) has it occurred to anyone that Carter may have already gotten 6 figure money in college and he's already lazy and wreckless on that? 2) someone didn't get into his ear about maybe keeping his nose clean and staying in top shape through the draft process. Re: Jalen Carter. Somebody's Bust And Major Problem
If he's there in the 2nd I would want the Rams to draft him. Not sure where he goes. Before this report came out I would have said top 10 still. Not sure anymore.

Re: Jalen Carter. Somebody's Bust And Major Problem
I heard and Ex-GM say today it is only a misdemeanor as of now so this won't hurt his draft status that bad. I did see some mocks out there where Detroit did select him. The notion is if there is a coach out there that can turn him around it is Campbell.

I think he will be a top 5 pick. I understand why you think he might be a bust but I can't see it. He is a man. I would be surprised if he is not hungry.

Re: Jalen Carter. Somebody's Bust And Major Problem
If he's there when Detroit picks, they have to take a chance with him. They have the offensive fire power, Rogers is moving on, and their defense was horrible. They'd be crazy to not roll the dice.

No they'd be crazy, and stupid, TO roll the dice. Losing, fat ballplayer. Re: Jalen Carter. Somebody's Bust And Major Problem
Just remember Lael Collins everyone past on a top 15 pick. Clearly all 32 teams were lazy and didn't do their homework and we wanted originally to draft him at 15. We could have had him at the end of the 3rd and we took Manion. All I say is do your homework teams.

Re: Jalen Carter. Somebody's Bust And Major Problem
every year this happens with a player. just depends on how they react. Personally I would be very concerned about Carter. all this shit goes down and in a matter of weeks he puts on almost 10 lbs and doesn't do most of the workouts he should have done.malibu wrote: ↑March 15th, 2023, 4:23 pm Just remember Lael Collins everyone past on a top 15 pick. Re: Jalen Carter. Somebody's Bust And Major Problem
I find it strange that he didn't do more workouts. He did just see one of his best friends die. In addition, I couldn't imagine the stress associated with know you could have possibly prevented it. He has a lot on his plate right now which definitely could distract from football.BrooklynRam74 wrote: ↑March 15th, 2023, 2:50 pmNo they'd be crazy, and stupid, TO roll the dice. Nothing I saw in the last 2 years would be evidence he will be a bust. Let's remember this conversation and revisit in 2 years.

Re: Jalen Carter. Somebody's Bust And Major Problem
He may or may not be a complete bust. May even be a good player, but I guarantee he will cause his team headaches at times. The main gist is that it's a disgrace what some of these guys get up to for fun. Akin to Michael Vick going into dog fighting LOL LOLBulldawg wrote: ↑March 16th, 2023, 5:59 amI find it strange that he didn't do more workouts. He did just see one of his best friends die. Re: Jalen Carter. Somebody's Bust And Major Problem
well he just plead no contest to reckless driving and racing which means they can't come back after him criminally. He will be a top 10 pick in the draft for sure now. he won't get back Detroit IMOBrooklynRam74 wrote: ↑March 16th, 2023, 8:35 amHe may or may not be a complete bust. Re: Jalen Carter. Somebody's Bust And Major Problem
I just read this on the BCC website...
"Ms LeCroy was driving a Ford Expedition at speeds exceeding 100mph (160km/h). Toxicology reports showed that she had a blood alcohol concentration of more than double the legal limit."
I'm sorry but the other person that was with her is either an idiot or was passed out. I'm not trying to be a sexist but I would never get in a vehicle with a woman that was going to drive over 100 miles an hour. Especially in a large vehicle like a Ford Expedition. Let alone drive with someone who's hammered. Stupid is as stupid does...
As far as Carter goes he should of know better to race against a woman. He should of know it would be hard for her to control such a large vehicle. I don't want to blame him for the accident but come on. That was poor judgement on his part...

Judge our new coach in his third year. After all our last coach was to game strategy what Yoko Ono was to the Beatles...

He isn't going to fall that far. he is a huge concern no doubt but the talent is there and teams are going to be willing to take a chance. He won't fall out of the Top 10

Can't wait to laugh at the team that takes him when they are bailing him out at the police station a couple of years from now. As soon as a beast offensive lineman knocks this guy on his ass he's going to quit.

I can't believe they let him off but look at Brandon Miller the hoops player from Bama. a lot of mock drafts do have him going there. I think Seattle takes a QB if the " right " guy falls to them whoever that may be. I am starting to think that CJ Stroud is going to be the #1 overall pick.Ramsfan08ny wrote: ↑March 17th, 2023, 9:47 am Watch.
