Rams are going to have a bad season... this is all about 2024 and beyond. Let's let him finish this. Give him until 2024, see how that season goes... THEN, if we suck... everyone can pack their damn bags.

This answers the question:
“ Other than NE, KC, and Philly no other GM has been to the SB more than once during Snead's reign as Rams GM, and he's done it twice himself. SF was there twice but not with their current GM.”

Agree. No one is happy about 3 stars going on Defense that's for sure as well as no signings on FA and what we got for Ramsey is a big bone of contention with the fan base. All that is half the picture let's see the other side of the picture. If he doesn't address the OL I would say yes he's should be on the hot seat imo. Still too early. I have been one of his biggest defenders but after the Ramsey deal made we have doubts. If that's all you could get I would have rather have kept him.

Re: Poll question: Should Les Snead be on the hot seat?
This is why I don't understand the hate w the guy. Hes done a phenomenal job imo. We scored w McVay and Sean prob saved Dumoff and Sneads jobs... So, let's let the ride continue. Cut Snead some slack this season... because imo, we are heading into a long run starting '24... As long as we hit well on the draft, and pick some solid vets next off season...
I guess this comes down what QB we have at that point. Stafford is on his way out... So, I think our next 'large' move will be either drafting our franchise QB or making a trade... something in me wants it to be a new kids that we draft. But, I'll take SB's however we make it happen.

I can see obviously why the questions is being asked...Efff them picks. Well it did pay off for one SB. Im a production manager at a automotive manufacturing facility. We talk sports daily and everyone not a Rams fan is jealous, even when i talk about how rough 23 and then possibly even 24 will be for my Rams. Almost everyone says yea but at least you got a ring out of it. This sport is so hard to even be/stay competitive. let alone winning it all, a lot of things have to go right. #1 IMO is draft well, Snead and McVay skipped that step and traded those picks for already NFL super stars in Stafford and Ramsey. They showed it does work; however the aftermath is what's really important. How long will it take to become relevant again after sacrificing everything for that ring?

Thanks for sharing and 100% this^……..
I have 2 life long friends of mine who are Lions and Bills fans. I don’t know how many times they have reminded me that they are still trying to get their first ring. Hell the Lion’s fan just wants a SB appearance before he dies………

The issue IMO is fans, not just our fan base or this forum but all fans, just refuse or can’t see outside of their team………DelMar wrote: ↑March 17th, 2023, 2:20 pmThis is why I don't understand the hate w the guy. Snead? I’m not sure I would say he has been phenomenal but he has done his job the last 5-6 years. Again his job is to put together a roster to win the ultimate prize and he has done that with McVay. How he went about doing it well again at the end of the day he accomplished the ultimate goal. And he has done so based on what I shared from another source better than 90% of the GM’s during his tenure here. Argue well he has missed at times in the draft and he has blown some salary extensions. Ok. And no one else has? According to again what I shared most GM’s have without his results……
Now? We enter the next stage of his tenure as our GM. Part 3 or part two with McVay. Part 1 with McVay was a smashing success. Last year? Very few saw that coming and I would guarantee you they didn’t. How this next stage will play out who knows. But IMO he has earned the right to be the one to bring this team as GM into this stage. And once done if we are sitting here saying ok in the last 10 years, this being 2026, we are saying 7-8 winning seasons out of 10, 6-7 playoff appearances, and another ring then one hell of a job. If we are not then……….

Re: Poll question: Should Les Snead be on the hot seat?
Nobody saw 2022 coming. It’s hard to repeat and the Rams had 5 years worth of injuries that especially impacted the offensive line. I look at the NFC and see a bunch of middle of the road teams. Niners will be the favorites in the West, Minnesota and Detroit will probably battle for the North. The East has the Eagles and the Cowboys . It’s anyone’s guess who is coming out of the South. I think 9-8 will get you in the playoffs. With a good draft and good health I think the Rams can definitely get in the playoffs. They might not have a team that could advance but I would not be surprised at all if the Rams put together another season similar to 2017 and surprise a lot of the naysayers. I’m not writing them off and I think they are at their best when they aren’t the media darlings. This past year’s Rams team could have folded their tent a lot earlier in the season but McVay had them battling until the end. They are going to show up every week in 2023 regardless of what the so called experts think.

Re: Poll question: Should Les Snead be on the hot seat?
Nah, even tho we were trash, I can't look over all the good shit he's done compared to all the bad. And there were lots of bad. We had it easy compared to most teams in the league. Five winning seasons, three division titles, two NFC titles and a Superbowl title. Any team would kill to have that five year window. As long as they don't intentionally lose games, idc what tf they do in 2023 as long as it sets us up for a good 2024. Draft a QB, and trade all your picks and we'll be good.

Re: Poll question: Should Les Snead be on the hot seat?
So the original question was, if our GM has absolutely two garbage seasons in a row, would we hold him accountable, not necessarily fire him but consider it if he has a third bad year….. and most of you are saying definitely no?
Well that’s a St. Louis kind of standard
I think our success is 77% McVay, I don’t think Snead drafts well especially on the OL, Rob Havenstein is his claim to fame and I don’t see him as someone who can effectively assess his own roster
We have been laden with horrible extensions, mounds of dead cap
Did we catch lightening in a bottle to win the Super Bowl, I AM NOT COMPLAINING, RINGS ARE HARD TO COME BY, but I think so, the team was built with FAs, yes we won the ring but we were not a sure thing and shaky at times , we barely beat Tampa, whiners and Bengals, we had incredible health.
I gave Snead a pass this year and I wouldn’t necessarily fire him if we don’t do well in 2023 but that’s all he gets from me so yeah if he has another shit year and he doesn’t draft well this year the seat will be very hot to me

Re: Poll question: Should Les Snead be on the hot seat?
take this poll next year after they go 4-13 and see what the results are. the noise is going to keep getting longer and next year's season happens. Sure everyone now is forgiving. let's see how that tone is in one year. If he kills it in the upcoming draft I will cut him some slack but if he doesn't I am going to be all over him.

You are right the noise will be loud by many. It doesn’t mean that noise is correct………ocram23 wrote: ↑March 18th, 2023, 8:50 am take this poll next year after they go 4-13 and see what the results are. the noise is going to keep getting longer and next year's season happens. When does one define a GM “kills a draft”? Most who actually understand this league knows it’s not the season those players were drafted. Now if we want to review a draft from say 2020 then absolutely fair game……
Like one has said come 2026 if this next stage presents a past 10 years of 7-8 winning seasons 6-7 playoff appearance, and another ring…… If it doesn’t then others can then “justify their tone”………
And if that ring comes in what some consider a “non-traditional” way then oh well deal with it I guess. A repeat in salary hell again in 2027-28 will be worth it……….

Re: Poll question: Should Les Snead be on the hot seat?
" kills a draft " is when KC drafted Creed and Bolton and that same year they had great years so it can happen. I know you don't think it does and only think it happens after 3 years but that is complete bullshit. I could careless how they win SB's obviously.NorCal RF wrote: ↑March 18th, 2023, 12:01 pmYou are right the noise will be loud by many.
