Does Anyone Think The Rams Will Beat The Colts?
Colts key players
Gardner Minshew (66.7% completions, 398 yards, 2 TDs, sacked 5 times); Anthony Richardson (63.8% completions, 279 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, sacked 4 times; 75 rushing yards, 3 TDs); Zack Moss (210 rushing yards in 2 games, 4.4 yards per carry, 1 TD); Michael Pittman Jr. (25 catches, 230 yards, 1 TD); Josh Downs (15 catches, 124 yards); Zaire Franklin (45 tackles); Kwity Paye (3 sacks); Matt Gay (6-of-6 FGs, 4 from 50+ yards); Isaiah McKenzie (5 punt returns, 13.6 yards per).
On paper the Colts look good with key players at a glance. The Colts are currently one point favorite. Initially, I thought the Rams would win this game. Now I doubt it. Gay could kill us. I think this will be a true test of McVay's coaching and ability to adapt, and make key adjustments.

Of course the Rams could beat the Colts. This is a question you ask only if we're playing the 49ers, Eagles or Cowboys

Re: Does Anyone Think The Rams Will Beat The Colts?
my big question is who is playing this week on the OL? I know what Snead said but if Noteboom and Jackson go how realistic is it they will play effectively?
If I am the D coordinator of Indy I would absolutely flood our LT with blitz packages. I just don't see McVay making adjustments.

Absolutely. It won’t be easy but of course they can win. This is a team that has lost 2 games by the combined total of 10 points and could actually be 3-0 right now……

I have the Rams winning this one as well. Really, its practically a must win with Philly after this game. McVay usually bounces back. So we will see.

Re: Does Anyone Think The Rams Will Beat The Colts?
However, the original question isn't asking whether or not the Rams *could* defeat the Colts, rather it's whether or not they actually *will* do so on Sunday.
Our team actually matched up pretty well against the Bengals' key weaknesses (hobbled QB, weak rushing defense) back on Monday, yet for various reasons--primarily inept coaching leadership--the Good Guys still managed to lose.
*Could* the Rams win on Sunday? Of course it's plausible. *Will* they? If I had to wager on the game straight up, I wouldn't be counting on it...

We beat Indy if and only if McVay fixes this Oline. We must keep Stafford upright and calm.
We need to play with some urgency now.

We can certainly beat them. Neither QB sends fear into me. I think the guy we have to contain is Pittman. He has turned into a damn good receiver

would rather play against Richardson. Minshew knows how to play QB. While AR is a freakish athlete he makes a lot of dumb mistakes i.e. turnovers. Must win for the Rams this weekend

That was one of the 4 games I thought we would win at the beginning of the season. But after last weeks debacle i’m not feeling very confident anymore. I think we may have 3 wins left this season.

Re: Does Anyone Think The Rams Will Beat The Colts?
If McVay pulls the same stunt and refuses to run the ball, the Rams lose and Stafford gets hurt. If McVay has a decent game plan like the first 2 games, the Rams win.
If we had Kupp since game1, the Rams are 2-1 right now.

Re: Does Anyone Think The Rams Will Beat The Colts?
If Stafford doesn't make any mistakes and plays a complete game, and our running game plays average we will win. As much as I want to put all this on McVay, mistakes by players are the #1 reason why the Rams have lost the last two games.

Re: Does Anyone Think The Rams Will Beat The Colts?
Colts are 23rd against the pass and 17th against the run...
If the Rams don't turn it over and execute 3rd down better they should be OK..

Re: Does Anyone Think The Rams Will Beat The Colts?
Interesting game. If I am the Colts, knowing how McVay abandoned the run game, and the heat he has taken from the media, I would expect the Rams to come out running the ball. So, its going to be interesting to see the play calling.

I 100% expect to beat the Colts. In fact, I will consider it a failing if they lose.

Rams will have a real shot IF McVay can control himself and call sensible and timely plays on offense. I'm not optimistic.

Block maybe? We do well when we block. Go figure. Best teams out there have great blocking. Dallas lost- why? OL was hurt. Please lets see what we have in Evans. We have a great reference with KW...let's see how Evans runs. And I like VJ- but maybe sit him for DR a few series and let him think about it while we see what DR can do.

AJ is still out. Clearly hurt. Even if he plays, Dotson better be active to move into the RG spot and Boom over to LT. Maybe activate McClendon too to try at LT- though that is a big spot to toss the rookie into. We need this game after the Monday shit show.

I think it's pretty straight forward:
No mistakes.
Stafford plays a complete game and the Rams win.
