Re: Game by game prediction going forward
8-9 my prediction or 7-10 maybe . Goes to 10-7 or even11-6 like yours IF mcvay stops abandoning the run and calling long developing routes when facing top D lines . Since I think that is probably not gonna happen, I will stick to 8-9 or 7-10.

Re: Game by game prediction going forward
I think if Rams can get there play to be more consistent all 4 quarters they will beat the Cowboys. Also, the 49ers game. But the 49ers could be a strange game. Niners will have clinched. Rams may be playing for there play off life. 13 and 5?GlendoraRam wrote: ↑October 9th, 2023, 7:21 pm Cardinals @ Rams - W

Re: Game by game prediction going forward
That's where I'm at.....I predicted a losing season (most did) and I have not come off of that.
I do think they are playing better than I expected.....If they could generate a pass rush, they could have a couple more wins IMO.

I agree with the defeats, but also think we'll drop a couple you've put down as wins.GlendoraRam wrote: ↑October 9th, 2023, 7:21 pm Cardinals @ Rams - W

I think we're the epitome of an up and down, young 9-8 squad. We have good games, we have bad games, young players tend to lack consistency.
I'd also add, if we do finish 9-8, I think that would be a significant achievement given the roster turnover, age of the roster and dead cap.

Re: Game by game prediction going forward
Given the caveat no significant injuries and Brown was significant because we don't have any NTs on the team so the Run D will suffer more. That said the team is young and loses focus and games due to lack of experience and going up against superior players meaning less margin for error, yet this team are fighters. With Kupp back and Nacua, Atwell and Higby the Offense I feel can get above 25 ppg hopefully can average 27 per game and we should win a bunch of these easier games.
I see 10- 7. Overall I agree with the OPs assessment but there will be a surprise loss in the bunch. A bunch of these teams looked better at the BG of season than do now. So if we can make a trade at the deadline for some OLB help and a upgrade at NT or just wait Brown out 5-7 weeks we should be okay.

I concur, unless Stafford gets hurt. maybe even 12-5.Jacksnow wrote: ↑October 9th, 2023, 8:11 pmI think if Rams can get there play to be more consistent all 4 quarters they will beat the Cowboys. Looks reasonable; but really depends on which Rams team shows up to play these remaining games. Some times these Rams just look Thunder Struck.

Not going to win any of them if McVay keeps refusing to run the ball. He I did it again vs the Eagles and it cost the game……AGAIN

Re: Game by game prediction going forward
The Rams couldn't defeat a struggling Bengals team which was playing terribly at the time, then they barely slipped by the Colts in overtime.
Their season-opening victory over the Seahawks was pretty impressive, however that was over a month ago and now is looking like an outlier.
Most of our team's remaining games are reasonably winnable, yet that hardly means that all of those matchups will be won by the Good Guys, especially given their questionable game strategy.
Seven wins, I'm figuring, assuming good fortune in terms of injuries...

Saints and Packers feel like losses to me...and after seeing the Cards play close games - Rams better not sleep on them either...GlendoraRam wrote: ↑October 9th, 2023, 7:21 pm Cardinals @ Rams - W

All of this is under the assumption that McVay figures out that the run game isn't optional - and they need to score more than 6 points in 2nd half (unless they figure out a way to put 30+ points in the first 2 quarters)...

Re: Game by game prediction going forward
I can't understand what the mystery is - even McVay has to see that a balanced attack pays dividends....he can even use the pass to set up the run but he won't - at least not consistently....brasilrams wrote: ↑October 10th, 2023, 6:33 pmWon't happen . Re: Game by game prediction going forward
The reason for the 2nd half collapses of the offense is because McVay refuses to run the ball at all. The D line just pins their ears back and bulrushes Stafford.
This is not a complicated issue for McVay to understand, so why does it happen? Either to dumb or to stubborn, take your pick.
With a running game, this team could win 10 games. Doing it McVay’s way, might win 5 and will certainly get Stafford hurt.
