It’s a beautiful name. Just practice saying it. At least the Rams are recognizing the need for help in the middle. Rozeboom has been everywhere and nowhere, flying all over the place like a rubber pinball.

We def have an eclectic team my friend.

USC is known to sign a lot of Pacifica/Native islanders, Samoans, etc... and we usually hit almost every time w them. They are beast and huge. So it's nice to see the Rams getting in on the action.

I have a very good story about Junior Seau ill share another time... but it has to do w San Diego, Del mar actually to be exact... a bar, tons of ladies and Junior pretty blitzed... it was hilarious, all while he kept buying our crews drinks. He was a really good guy. Sad day when he knocked himself off.

List of well known native islanders...

• Troy Polamalu
Position: Safety
Years Active: 2003-2014
Teams: Pittsburgh Steelers
Awards: 2x Super Bowl Champion, Defensive Player of the Year 2010, 4x First Team All Pro, 8x Pro Bowl

• Tua Tagovailoa
Position: Quarterback
Years Active: 2020-Present
Teams: Miami Dolphins
Awards: NFL Passer Rating Leader 2022, Polynesian Football Player of the Year 2022

And I bet not many of you know this.. but did you know our boy Roman Gabriel was part of this group? I think a lot of people thought he was Mexican, but nope... he was actually Filipino.

• Roman Gabriel
Position: QB
Years Active: 1962-1977
Teams: Los Angeles Rams, Philadelphia Eagles
Awards: NFL MVP 1969, NFL Comeback Player of the Year 1973, First Team All Pro 1969, 4x Pro Bowl, NFL Passing Yards Leader 1973, 2x NFL Passing Touchdowns Leader

Yup, Gabriel was the first NFL QB of Filipino-American descent. His mother was Irish. As a 6’5” rookie, he was also the tallest QB in NFL history. Here’s a good piece on him: https://www.nbcnews.com/news/asian-amer ... ll-n923811

I forgot that he also showed up on Gilligan’s Island and Laugh-In.

Gabriel was the first Rams’ QB that I remember since I started following the Rams back in 1969. Great memories as a kid growing up in SoCal.

I learned about Roman Gabriel when I was in highschool by looking up his career. This is at a time when I was learning rams history lol.

I'm still trying to figure out why teams didnt like Spoon? Now Spoon is playing as one of the better corners in tbe league.

Wow.

I did not realize that when I was putting it together. His name has that in it and I was throwing names out to SHORTEN what’s already in his name and how he sounded it out. Read what HE said.

The guy is aPacific Islander and I never talk like that. Ever. If you know me, I’m nowhere near that.

None the less. It was mistake on my part and in no way did I mean it to come out like that. It was incredibly insensitive and a total brain fart.

Sorry if I offended anyone. I own the stupid mistake.

Snark?

Hmmmmmmm-k

Fella..., thats what I do in here. Key for me is to have a sense a humor about everything... I didnt realize what I had done, until Jerzy pointed it out (Thx Jerz).. But if you dont like my snark, then I truly sorry... But thats not going anywhere.

We all have things that bugs some, just move on and keep scrolling it the key.

I blew it, I owned it... Now, relax and enjoy this crappy season.

Just corrected the incorrect info, as it was definitely relevant. Not the end of the world for either of us right?

You apologized. Solid. No further worries on my part at all.

From a football perspective, maybe this kid can usurp Troy Reeder. I like Troy, but if he ain't blitzing the A gap, he's a liability

People have missteps all the time. I sure have, especially at work when trying to be funny. I’ve learned the hard way to stay away from sarcasm. Anyway, the key for any of us is to really own our slipups and show that we’ve learned and grown.

That said, I’m looking forward to seeing if Fatukasi can bring it.
