Re: DK is in trouble
Welp, he maybe done for about at least 4 games... NFL frowns on these types of felonies.
I'll never understand this. You are making an incredible amount of money, and all you have to do is follow the law and abide by team and NFL guidelines... yet, some of these guys thinks its cool to carry a weapon in YOUR CAR without a CCW... SMH

It didn't say if the gun was registered or not let's see what happens before we all judge.

Re: DK is in trouble
In CA, they do an immediate check if you are pulled over and it's in the vehicle. Mainly because many do have CCW's.
But, maybe you're right and they may have missed it.
But something tells me this wouldn't have hit the press IF the cops made a mistake. I mean, they charged him it seems... I do not think they would have charged if they did a simple check, and all was ok. No?
Cops NOR DK wants this in the public...

Re: DK is in trouble
Rams starting cornerback Derion Kendrick was arrested in Los Angeles on Monday ... less than 12 hours after he helped his team beat the Arizona Cardinals.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Sports ... the 23-year-old was pulled over early in the morning for a traffic violation -- and we're told during the stop, police found a gun and marijuana in his car.
Jail records show Kendrick was then booked at 2:14 AM PT on a felony charge of carrying a concealed weapon ... and as of 2:30 PM PT on Monday, he remained in custody.
Further details surrounding the arrest were not made immediately available. We've reached out to the Rams for comment, but so far, no word back yet.
Kendrick -- who was drafted by LA in 2022 -- played nearly every defensive down for the Rams just hours before his arrest ... logging two tackles in their 26-9 win at SoFi Stadium.
In his two seasons with the Rams, he's played in 21 games ... recording seven pass breakups and 68 total tackles.

I would consider the intelligence level on some of these guys. Cant understand it, he went to College, you'd figure he'd be a smart guy.......DelMar wrote: ↑October 16th, 2023, 2:54 pm Welp, he maybe done for about at least 4 games... NFL frowns on these types of felonies.

please tell me any of you seriously thinks he has a CCW. Just to let you know it is not easy to get one in CA anymore. I am all about due process but this guy is a C player at best. I would have no issue cutting him

Re: DK is in trouble
Well it is legal in California.
I'm curious to the extent of the conceal carry. Me and buddy once got in trouble in California because the gun wasn't concealed/out open properly. Yet in Oregon we were completely legal. Once we crossed the state the clip in the gun became illegal. Personally,I find most gun laws bs. Kendrick doesn't get a pass but in California it's impossible damn near to own a gun and not break some rule.

Re: DK is in trouble
He was arrested but the NFL will wait until the case is adjudicated. If he’s facing any action right now it would have to come from the team. They could release him or just bench him. The details will be the key. Frank Clark was arrested in Los Angeles in 2021 with a duffel bag in his car that had a handgun and a Uzi machine gun. He got a one year probation and 40 hours community service. After his sentencing the NFL gave him a 2 game suspension. It’s unlikely that the court date will be this year so unless the Rams choose to release him he will likely be available to play on Sunday.
Before the Bandwagon.

More likely DK won't play this week but won't be cut. Rams will wait it out and as long as anything more crazy then this doesn't pop up. The league will suspend him for a few games and he'll remain a ram

Re: DK is in trouble
It could've happened to anyone. I hope Cooper Kupp, Matthew Stafford or Tyler Higbee dont get pulled over and found with a gun.Raminec wrote: ↑October 16th, 2023, 3:41 pm He was arrested but the NFL will wait until the case is adjudicated. Re: DK is in trouble
Weed is now legal in CA... BUT, not while driving.
Double doozy
Please someone riddle this to me...
ok so the other crazy part... is that you barely make a team... and the only reason you MADE that team is because that team has $70M DEAD CAP to get rid of, so we have a ton of Jags... So, one would think, holy crap, this is my chance to show the league what I am made of. Plus, I am making more money than I will prob ever make... So why not just be on good and not even toy w breaking the law?
But no, I want to have pot and a handgun in my car and drive erratically in the early morning hours mourn LA...
SERIOUSLY... How dum n can one be. To be a C level player, and to do this almost stamps his walking papers.
Just dumb

not going to get into with you regarding this, 2nd amendment, but no way in hell should anyone be able to drive around with loaded guns in their car.

Re: DK is in trouble
Maybe, maybe not.... But imo, most likely he was driving erratically and that is why they pulled him over. So they fond the weed and maybe did a test of some sort. I am not sure... Good question my man... but, obviously he was charged w reckless driving along w the other felony of having a gun in the car as the report says
We dont know all the info, so I will reserve my final judgment... but my issue is... why even dance on the wild side? Seriously, why even risk losing the best job you'll ever have in your life? All these kids have to do is stay on the straight and narrow... I just dont get it Helly

I disagree whole heartedly. Every citizen who isn't a violent criminal should own/carry a loaded gun.

Now I'm REALLY worried. I hope Stafford and Kupp don't have guns in their cars. That could really derail our season. Please, be smart Matthew....

Re: DK is in trouble
Lib controlled state with gun laws disrespecting the 2nd Amendment... 31 R controlled states he probably doesn't even get charged because it isn't hard to get that permit there... This probably should be in the off topic because that's where a topic like this leads, discussion wise.
