Higbee
Said he was JAG two years ago. Average is a hype. Below average. Nice drop. And McVay didn’t get the memo his kicker stinks.

Re: Higbee
..and if he did catch that ball, Rams would have been up 24-10 or at least 20-10. What was up with Cupp yesterday? Dropping two catch able passes? WTF !

Re: Higbee
Highbee extension was another mistake made by this FO . I hope it is a " friendly " contract and they can get out with any problems if they decide too . I didn't see the details but he is making is 13.5 m per year with this new contract , with seems insane to me considering TRAVIS KELCE MAKES 14.3 m.
I have NO IDEA what is this FO's smoking . Noteboon's contract and Highbee's contract are a damn JOKE .

Re: Higbee
Higbee is a solid blocker. Problem is, when the Rams put him in motion and he settles in next to the tackle, teams know exactly what side they are running to. Focus on that next game and see. Rams need some two TE sets.

Re: Higbee
Higbee has been an above average TE and is still a decent blocker, but father time looks like it's catching up with him.
I was sure this was going to be his last year, the extension stunned me.
And yes, that drop when he pulled out because the Safety was lining him up was a bit pathetic.

Re: Higbee
Mcvay schemes him open all the time and he drops crucial passes constantly.GlendoraRam wrote: ↑October 25th, 2023, 9:43 am Higbee is a solid blocker. Re: Higbee
Not that I'm at all unhappy with Avila, but when all those top rated TEs started slipping in the draft, I was sure that was where we were going to go.

Re: Higbee
personally I don't think they give Higbee enough touches but if he isn't the guy why give him that extension? secondly where are the backups? why won't McVay put them in?

Re: Higbee
He is capable of having a good game if they give him enough targets , my issue with him are the drops at crucial moments . This has been happening forever now and he can't seem to fix it .

Re: Higbee
I wonder if the Rams use analytics. Bc even assuming Higbee is a league average tight end, that an elite kicker in Gay is more valuable. Especially given how close NFL games generally are and his kickoffs almost always negate any return yardage against you.brasilrams wrote: ↑October 22nd, 2023, 4:16 pm they let gay walk but they re-sign highbee . Way to go . LOL

Re: Higbee
This is one of the big questions I've been wondering for quite some time..why don't the Rams utilize the 12 personnel package like McVay did in Washington? Maybe he feels we don't have 2 TEs that are capable enough to be on the field at the same time..He's in love with running 11 personnel almost exclusively. I know running the 12 personnel would definitely help keep Stafford upright more often. I just don't get it..GlendoraRam wrote: ↑October 25th, 2023, 9:43 am Higbee is a solid blocker. Re: Higbee
Yes, ALL good points.
I think he should be used more...and I also think Hopkins is a really good receiver (although perhaps not a good blocker?).

Re: Higbee
Use both Hop and Higbee and run the damn 12 personnel package and when not using the 12 set..run the ball down Dallas throats..that is probably the only way we come away with a W against them.
