Definitely one of a kind. He wouldn’t last a week in today’s culture.

Re: Coach Bob Knight Dead at 83
What about the positive things he did? Seems there was always a stadium full of fans that applauded and cheered his every move. I don't see anywhere in the highlight reels what caused any of those "top 10" moments.. just his responses.. they are typically left out for the sake of the narrative... I for one have no problem with a man being a man.. if warranted. And I'm not one to believe those crying the loudest either... You better show me and I"LL DECIDE for my self.. Not supporting the choking incident but we all have shit on our resume's and that's his.
The guy was front and center OFTEN because his teams were always winners contending and he was sought after....
A man being a man was all he was and you say he wouldn't survive in todays world.... because they won't let men be men.. Most of his anger/reactions were as a result of the shitbag lying provoking media and all he did was call them out for it, his way ... There were many like him, just maybe not as easily provoked or foul mouthed.. The leagues and society for that matter flat out suck with the new modern beta man that they want us all to be..
Bobby Knight was way more entertaining and worth my entertainment $$$ then any of todays bun headed purse carrying cry babies who kiss and hug other men when they succeed. The feminization is everywhere and now in sports you're not allowed much physical contact on the field and cower to being told told how to act and speak... Much of the indoctrinated fanbase plays right into it... Toxic masculinity I believe they call it, must go...
I prefer letting men be men and also having ALL THE FACtS before passing judgements..
RIP Bobby Knight

have all the facts??? there is video of him choking one of his players. what more do you need? yes he did a lot of good but he also got away with a ton of shit because he was more powerful than the Governor of Indiana at the time and those are the facts.Rampager66 wrote: ↑November 2nd, 2023, 9:09 am What about the positive things he did? I know there's a vid of that choking incident and it's on him.. What we don't know is what led up to it and I doubt he did it just because he had nothing better to do.. Still not a good look, I granted you that....
Most men from that era would look similar if we were to judge them with todays standards for men compared to back then. Most of society wasn't against him like most of it would be today... plus there are always those that are out there with stories and accusations just to take people down because they can't beat them.. or want them out of the way

Re: Coach Bob Knight Dead at 83
what led up to it? so there is a valid reason to choke out one of your players???? dude there are a ton of horrible things this guy did to players over the years that they swept under the rug because of who is was. Was he a great basketball coach?? Hell yes but the dude was a monster as well. Zero justification for some of the shit he did sorryRampager66 wrote: ↑November 2nd, 2023, 10:04 ambro, You missed where i wrote "Not supporting the choking incident but we all have shit on our resume's and that's his."

Re: Coach Bob Knight Dead at 83
Yes what led up to a coach of his status putting one hand on the throat of one of his players, as Reed himself states... No where does he or anyone else claim Knight choked him out and there were no injuries.. And I don't believe it was to get his jollies... There had to be some provocation... Still not cool from Bobby but it doesn't appear to be the attempted murder you've tried to sensationalize it into either...ocram23 wrote: ↑November 2nd, 2023, 10:29 amwhat led up to it? so there is a valid reason to choke out one of your players???? dude there are a ton of horrible things this guy did to players over the years that they swept under the rug because of who is was. I've had my say bro. I don't condone physical violence unless it's national, self or family defense or desperately earned and merited by the one on the receiving end. But in this environment, and his status, Bobby should have had better constraint... period.

There's many others like this paying tribute to the man for their own reasons, on the side list of vids.... How it should be imo!

Re: Coach Bob Knight Dead at 83
He was a great coach and also a real ahole. Imo, Over time the ahole part in him over rode the great coach part of him. So this is how i will mostly remember himRampager66 wrote: ↑November 2nd, 2023, 6:38 pmYes what led up to a coach of his status putting one hand on the throat of one of his players, as Reed himself states... Re: Coach Bob Knight Dead at 83
There was a day when his kind was a MAN.. but in these weak kneed mangina times he's a bully and an A hole... I guarantee you the men that forged this nation that you freely indulge yourself in, were more like Bobby then Dylan Mulvaney and did not have bun heads, purses, finger/toe nail polish or put their weak assed feelings before everything else or didn't know what a women was! Like we see WAY TOO OFTEN from the cowering males of today who's weak act enables the BS were all living.Rammer wrote: ↑November 4th, 2023, 3:46 pmHe was a great coach and also a real ahole.
